Su Ming (苏铭) is the main protagonist of Pursuit of the Truth.
Appearance[]
During his youth Su Ming had the habit to wear beast skins. After Awakening he started to dress with white robes or occasionally black ones.
Su Ming was first described as a man with handsome, refined features, black hair and dark attractive pupils. He is tall, but lean which makes him appear frail at first glance. Su Ming received a scar under an eye after the final battle on Dark Mountain. His long hair also gained a purple hue, when he was in the Awakening Realm[1]. After attaining the Bone Sacrifice Realm, Su Ming became even more slender than before and lost all the characteristics of a member of the Berserker Tribe. His hair, too, became longer and his skin turned so fair that it looked as clear as crystals.[2] An ancient air appeared on Su Ming's face after he died and reincarnated for an endless amount of times in the Undying and Imperishable World.[3]
His Berserker Mark is drawn across his calm face and chest. It manifests as Dark Mountain on his face, the Dark Mountain Tribe on his chest and the Blood Moon on his right eye[4], all sometimes covered in snow[5]. An intense killing intent can be felt from his right eye with the Blood Moon, creating a contrast with his calm and aloof left eye. One the other hand, the snow releases a sorrowful aura around Su Ming. During his first attempt to breakthrough to Berserker Soul, the Ninth Summit was added to his mark.[6]
Due to his troubled mentality, Su Ming developed the habit to ponder and mutter 'in a voice burdened by his experiences and grief'. He never talk much to other people and is described as a man of few words. The sadness that stemmed from his solitude and pain also created a sorrowful aura around him. However when Su Ming is battling or angry, his aura change into a murderous one that is not inferior to the worst mass murderers of the cultivation world. This is the result of the countless lifetimes he passed either reincarnating on the Land of the Berserkers and fighting his way to revive, or slaughtering without stop in the Undying and Imperishable World.

Personality[]
Su Ming's greatest quality isn't his cleverness but his determination. Besides his own stubborn personality, Su Ming participation in multiple wars and the hundreds years of reincarnations he went trough in the Undying and Imperishable World also played a crucial part in forging his willpower.
Living in Dark Mountain, Su Ming was an energetic, smart but naïve youth. Having no knowledge of his parents and looking different from all of his clansmen often made him feel like an outsider, but it didn't prevent him from forming strong bonds with others nor from showing the ambitious and competitive spirit of a young man his age should have. Afterwards, the pressure of discovering a foreign environment alone, added to the loss of his tribe, forced Su Ming to become more mature. The evolution of his mentality started from a naive youngster to a nearly imperturbable elder. Moreover, his encounters with ruthless cultivators and experiencing multiple life-threatening dangers taught him to be cautious and wary of everything and everyone. While he did not began as the most cunning cultivator, Su Ming learned with time how to scheme and formulate plans while hiding in the shadows. For example, he manipulated a war between immortals to create a massacre which would fuel his Curse. Furthermore, as he grew older Su Ming became increasingly unfathomable. With his manipulated life, forgotten past, possessions, and unique race, his identity became blurry, confusing him and his enemies alike.
The great amount of time he spent cultivating, his complex as well as tragic history transformed him in an eccentric attached to solitude and silence. Su Ming's was also attained by many mental disorders through the course of his life such as deep depression which even led him to attempt suicide after discovering that his original body had already long disappeared while Su Xuan Yi who had plotted against him was not his true father. The death of all his loved ones during the Arid Disaster pushed him as far as going on a rampage and brutally massacring every lifeforms, weak or strong, of the Saint Defier and Dark Dawn Expanse Cosmos.
"Temperamental and willful. No law or rule could restrain Su Ming's actions, because he didn't believe that his actions were wrong."[11]
Not wishing to abandoned his past, Su Ming has developed a strong attachment to it to the point it can be called an obsession. When he became more than a thousand years old, Su Ming reflected on his wistfulness and concluded that he had truly become old. This tendency to indulge in nostalgia even made him forgive past foes like Di Tian. Despite the world always forcing him to change he tries to retain as much traces of his past-self. Memories are the bottom line of Su Ming and when someone try to alter or stain them, he would immediately fall in madness/rage.
Later, after reaching Lunar Kalpa Realm, three personalities were born in Su Ming corresponding to his cultivation path of moving from winter to spring, from death to life. They were shifting, when all three clones were fused together.
- The Red Su Ming represents the blood of the Autumn. As such he was a person of arrogance, imperiousness, madness, and destruction. While he was in that state, there were no reason or principles before him. There was only killing intent that could be triggered at any moment.[12]
- The Gray Su Ming had callous air about, which was saying he cared nothing for all that lived. There was only pure rationality in him, heartlessness when all emotions were cast aside. It is the equivalent of the Winter in the four seasons.[13]
- Su Ming with Golden Light emanated the type of life force that was merciful to all forms of life in the world and would nourish them.[14] The golden light was making others feeling comfortable, just like the Summer would.[15]
- Later, Su Ming developed another personality. He radiated the Black, dead stillness and the vast resentment. His voice was hoarse and he had dreary look in eyes. His presence changed weather and darkened the world. The dead look was formed by the intense pain of his heart being torn apart, the indescribable anger, and the grief as well as indignation that made him feel as if his heart was about to be devoured.[16] [17]
Su Ming could not control his personalities with his own power, but when he gained an epiphany towards fate and took control of the fate in the world around him, he could easily control his different personalities. He could even extract them and fuse into different clones.[18]
Background[]
Su Ming was born of powerful Abyss Builder Su Zhan and Chen Su, one of the Sacred Ladies of Spiritling race from Dark Dawn. When Fifth True World was being destroyed, Su Zhan lured a lot of enemies so that Su Xuan Yi could escape with his wife. He was sorry for his son, who didn't have good life. He chose to self-destruct. After many years, Su Xuan Yi arrived to the place Su Zhan died. He found there the broken soul of Su Zhan's son. It survived due to the mysterious qualities of his mother's race. He took Su Ming's broken soul to help him rebuild his race. His wife was strongly objecting to Su Xuan Yi's plan of using Su Zhan's baby to help their race. She felt sorry for it.[19]
Su Xuan Yi's son was tormented by the fusion with the Seed of Life Extermination. His wife gradually becoming weaker. When they were passing by True Morning Dao World, they ran into trouble. Dao Chen's greed and the chase by Morning Dao Sect caused Su Xuan Yi, who had continuously given up his cultivation base over the years for his wife and his son, to be incredibly tired, and to protect his wife and son, he could not bring out his true power.[20] His wife tried to take Su Ming away from him. She ended up in Yin Death Region.[21] At about the same time, Spirits of Nine Yin were on a mission to search for all powerful corpses. They found her with a baby held in her arms. After they ran into an accident, they were stranded and they lived on their Enchanted Vessel, which was transformed into World of Nine Yin.[22] Su Xuan Yi's third clone searched for his wife and found her dead in Yin Death Region. He also found the baby. He did not take him though, because the curse had already corroded everything about Su Ming, and because he realized that in Yin Death Region, the baby seemed to have a hint of life force gradually growing in him even though he was dead.[21] He used the mysteriousness surrounding Yin Death Vortex, where others couldn't easily peek into. There, Su Xuan Yi extracted the Seed of Life Extermination from Lei Chen's body and planted it in baby Su Ming. It allowed Su Xuan Yi to make some changes in the Seed of Life Extermination for his revenge.[23]
At some point, the Second God of Berserkers, Chi Shan Po visited World of Nine Yin and took baby Su Ming with himself. He was raised in the Imperial Palace of Great Yu with another other child, called Fei Er.[24] The Immortals didn't want the Second God of Berserkers raise ot power like First God did. After the devastating war, baby Su Ming and Fei Er were taken by Di Tian.[25] Su Xuan Yi let it happen, just to blind Di Tian and to keep him occupied.[21]
Di Tian was trying to figure out Abyss Builders’ weakness. He used Reincarnation Art on Su Ming's soul and sent it to live among Berserkers in Yin Death Region to sink into oblivion.[26] While living in the Berserkers' world, Su Ming rose to power and found his memories, but was subdued by Di Tian and reincarnated 36 times.[27]
Su Ming spent his childhood of 37th cycle of life being taught and taken care of by Mo Sang, the elder of Dark Mountain Tribe, whom he saw as a parent figure. Bei Ling taught him to use a bow, while his best friend was Lei Chen. He looked up to the powerful Berserkers of his tribe and wished to become one himself in order to protect Dark Mountain, but he failed the first initiation. He spent his youth as a herb gatherer, which made him very experienced in navigating through the various forests and mountains surrounding the tribe and created a friendship between him and a strange red monkey, whom he named Xiao Hong (Little Red).
History[]
Book 1[]
Su Ming sat inside a hollowed-out rock reading scrolls relating to the history of the Berserker Tribe. After noticing a storm brewing, he realized that Elder Mo Sang's prediction on Dark Dragon Saliva being able to be found that day came true. He rushed to climb towards one of the peaks of Dark Mountain where, with some difficulty, he gathered some of it inside a bottle.
After descending, Su Ming met Xiao Hong who was carrying a black stone fragment. Xiao Hong wished to trade the stone for some of the saliva, but Su Ming gave it away to him for free yet received the stone regardless. Examining it closer, it seemed normal despite some strange patterns and a hole in the middle, which made it look like an accessory. Noticing a strange warmth entering his body whenever the stone touched his skin, Su Ming connected it to the Fire Berserker Tribe, a powerful tribe that fought and was sealed by the God of Berserkers. He decided to wear it as a necklace and returned to the tribe.
Su Ming failed his first initiation towards becoming a Berserker and was destined to fail the second time as well. While inside the illusionary testing space created by attempting to connect with the statue of the God of Berserkers, the black stone fragment released a piercing light. The statue "cowered" in fear and Su Ming felt as if a barrier was broken inside his head. He saw a strange vision of hundreds upon hundreds of men and Berserkers worshiping two powerful individuals. He noticed one of them being a man with purple hair. While he was gazing at him, the man met his gaze and expelled him from the seemingly illusionary world.
Wondering if he had seen an illusion, Su Ming turned to bow towards the statue in order to leave. However as he was lowering his back towards it, the statue started cracking as if it couldn't withstand him bowing. The Berserker cultivation method appeared in Su Ming's mind and he returned to his house while the other tribesmen were distracted by strange weather changes. When he went to sleep, he saw a strange dream in which a voice called him "big brother".
Time passed as Su Ming immersed himself in cultivation by solidifying his blood veins with help from the Dark Dragon Saliva. Before his body started to transform similarly to his tribesmen, the stone released a piercing light teleporting Su Ming away to a strange space. He found himself before a mountain surrounded by mist and radiating an ancient feeling upon which strange drawings were carved. Entering through a crack, Su Ming saw more drawings of people refining herbs into pills and came up to a door. After touching it, memories of a process called "quenching medical pills" flooded into his mind and he exited the space. He later made use of the knowledge by creating his first pill "Scattering Dust", which could increase the potency of other herbs or pills eaten simultaneously.
In need of stone coins, Su Ming journeyed to a trading square with Lei Chen where he planned to sell one of the pills. During his visit, Su Ming met a girl named Bai Ling, whom Lei Chen had previously swindled into buying a painted leaf and was now angry after realizing the truth. Su Ming tricked her into thinking again that the leaf was a real herb and she left. After disguising himself and selling Scattering Dust, Su Ming left as well.
Assisted by a mysterious benefactor in the Bone Sacrifice Realm, Bi Tu, the elder of Black Mountain Tribe which held a long lasting enmity with Dark Mountain Tribe, made use of the Wings of the Moon, transformed souls of the Fire Berserkers, to break into the Awakening Realm. The event made the Blood Moon happen sooner than predicted. Wings of the Moon came out of their lairs and started kidnapping people everywhere. At the time unknowingly cultivating near one of the entrances of their lair, Su Ming took the opportunity of it being empty to enter in search of treasures.
While inside, Su Ming came across a strange village in the center of which was a big red tree. While empty it appeared to be far more refined compared to Dark Mountain or any of the other small tribes for that matter. The buildings at the edges seemed as if they were split apart, giving the village the appearance as if it had been cut from a bigger village and somehow moved inside the lair.
While searching, Su Ming found a single mutated corpse with wings on its back, a mocking, prideful look in its face and its index finger pointed at a wall upon which a chant was written. Memorizing it, Su Ming left as the Wings of the Moon would soon return. However while escaping, he noticed one of them carrying Bai Ling. Saving her from being absorbed into the giant tree enraged the Wings of the Moon, but only some of them could give chase, which he eluded. He returned Bai Ling to her tribe and promised to visit again.
Su Ming used the chant to start cultivating the Fire Berserker Tribe's Arts and received their inheritance. While he was growing more powerful, Mo Sang decided to take him and some other promising youths of the tribe to the competition held in the Wind Stream Tribe, which was the only medium tribe of the area.
In Wind Stream, Su Ming purchased an "imperfect" storage bag from an old man selling mostly counterfeit or useless goods and while under disguise entered into the first stage of the competition, climbing Wind Stream Mountain. Under its pressure and with Mo Sang's beforehand instructions, Su Ming cultivated fine control of his blood veins, a technique mostly used by Awakening Berserkers. Combining his own potential, power and the assistance of the moon's moonlight gained by cultivating Fire Berserker Arts, Su Ming tied with Ye Wang, the prodigy of Wind Stream Tribe. He earned some blood drops from an Awakening Berserker of Wind Stream.
Using the interest garnered by Su Ming's potential, Mo Sang reached a protection agreement with Wind Stream for Dark Mountain Tribe under the condition that they merged together. Understanding that the return trip and moving the tribe would be dangerous, Mo Sang sealed Su Ming inside a building and left. Filled with worry and eventual madness, Su Ming risked it all and started eating as much herbs, drinking the blood drops and doing everything else he could to increase his own power in order to break free albeit at the cost of suffering serious injuries. Wind Stream came under attack by the man who had helped Bi Tu break into Awakening giving Su Ming the opportunity to escape.
Arriving at the tribe, Su Ming was shocked to find many of its buildings in ruins and signs of battle. Fortunately, Mo Sang and many of the tribesmen were still safe despite Black Mountain's attack. Shocked by Su Ming's arrival, Mo Sang reluctantly allowed him to assist with the departure and protection during the trip. Black Mountain attacked many times, but despite having superior numbers was forced back by Dark Mountain's Berserkers and ordinary folk risking and sacrificing their lives in order to protect the tribe.
Bi Tu soon arrived and began his fight with Mo Sang, who in spite of his inferior cultivation fought the former to a standstill allowing the tribe to escape even though still chased by other Berserkers. After arriving at an open plain near Wind Stream, Su Ming, Lei Chen, Shan Hen and Nan Song, the most powerful Berserker of Dark Mountain besides Mo Sang, stayed behind in order to safeguard the rear. Bei Ling and other injured Berserkers wanted to stay behind but Shan Hen forced them to move with the tribe. A little girl called Tong Tong told Su Ming she would tell him a secret after he returned to Wind Stream and then left with the tribe.
Black Mountain's Berserkers soon arrived and the battle began anew. Despite the fatigue, Dark Mountain seemed to have had a chance at defeating their pursuers, but that changed with Shan Hen betraying Dark Mountain by stabbing Nan Song and running away. At the brink of death, Nan Song used his most powerful technique at the cost of his life to scare Black Mountain's Berserkers away. With Dark Mountain Tribe now safe, Lei Chen swore to become more powerful and decided to cross the mountains towards the supposed land of bigger tribes. Su Ming on the other hand gave chase to Black Mountain's Berserkers, which now tired and scared were easily eliminated. After returning to Dark Mountain, he killed Shan Hen whom he found clenching a small bone.
Arriving where Mo So was battling Bi Tu, Su Ming felt himself not powerful enough to interfere directly. Instead, he burned his blood by practicing the Fire Berserker Arts. This gained the attention of the Wings of the Moon making Bi Tu, whose body was composed of them, unable to use their power. Attacked by both Mo Sang who was revealed to possess two Berserker Marks and Su Ming empowered by the Wings of the Moon, Bi Tu's defeat seemed to be at hand.
However, the black-robed man appeared again. Su Ming and Mo Sang had no chance of defeating a Bone Sacrifice Berserker, but a strange small flag came out of Mo Sang's body. It rapidly expanded to cover the entire sky with the stars of another world. Mo Sang told Su Ming to remember them before a materialization of a formidable cultivator's will appeared. He was a middle-aged man with a face extremely similar to Su Ming's own. The man's power shattered space creating a void. Bi Tu was killed, the black robed man's cultivation dropped to Awakening and he with Mo Sang and Su Ming were sucked into the void.
Book 2[]
Su Ming awoke to find himself atop a mountain inside a rainforest. He was scarred, injured, hungry and was being pestered by vultures, which he caught and turned into food. After looking at his reflection on the surface of a nearby river, he noticed that he had a scar on his face and appeared to be older compared to his previous sixteen year old self. On himself, he had a broken bag, the bone Shan Hen held onto before he died, a beast bone that he could previously use to tell whether the tribe was safe, Liu Di's xun made of bone, a broken shard of Dark Mountain's statue of the God of Berserkers, and a bottle containing two drops of Berserker Blood.
Inside the rainforest, Su Ming encountered Berserkers escorting a young man, who he kidnapped to ask for some information. He noticed that the teenager had very old injuries inside his body and feed him Scattering Dust and South Asunder. Su Ming learned that he was named Fang Mu and persuade him into answering his questions in exchange for further healing provided that Fang Mu brought him some precious herbs. Fang Mu agreed and informed Su Ming that they were currently inside Wide Han Forest, nearby was Han Mountain City, further past it was the Great Tribe of Freezing Sky's Freezing Sky Clan, one of the two most powerful clans besides the Great Tribe of Western Sea's Western Sea Clan. The continent they were on was called the Land of South Morning. Su Ming remembered that the man in black robes had said that Wind Stream was a branch of the Great Tribe of Miao Man and part of the Alliance of the Western Region.
After visiting Han Mountain City, Su Ming learned of an enmity between He Feng and an Awakening Berserker named Xuan Lun. Not wanting to get involved, he returned to the rainforest yet soon encountered both of them fighting. He Feng schemed to force Su Ming into participating, but he entered the space inside the black stone forcing He Feng into hiding underground and using a puppet to make it look as if he had ran away. Xuan Lua was tricked and He Feng reemerged from underground, safe but weakened. Su Ming exited the stone's space, subdued He Feng, turned his body into nourishment for creating Spirit Plunder and enslaved his spirit body. He got the Branding Art, He Feng's treasures and later on the Virescent Sword.
Immersed in cultivation, Su Ming forgot to meet with Fang Mu, so he decided to visit Tranquil East Tribe directly. There he met with Fang Shen, Fang Mu's father, who despite recognizing Su Ming's prowess held some doubts regarding his intentions. Fang Cang Lan, Fang Shen's sister and a disciple of Freezing Sky Clan, used an art to gaze into Su Ming's past, saw some of his memories and said that the events of Dark Mountain, which Su Ming believed to have happened 4 years ago, had happened more than 50 years in the past. She pitied Su Ming and convinced Fang Shen into accepting him as a guest of their tribe also telling Su Ming to visit herself if he remembered anything from his past. Su Ming did not pay her any mind.
During the Day of Eternal Creation, Su Ming entered the grave of Han Mountain Tribe's ancestor where he noticed that the sky was a fake replica of what he had seen before being sucked into the void. After being attacked and killing some Berserkers from Lake of Colors Tribe, he learned that their tribe was secretly trying to enter the ancestor's tomb, from where he felt a strong spiritual aura and conclude that the ancestor was not dead. After meeting Nan Tian and Xuan Lun, the chief guests respectively of Tranquil East and Puqiang Tribe, together with their followers they entered the tomb.
After entering the tomb through a secret tunnel, Su Ming sank into an illusion of Dark Mountain being destroyed by a giant black hand. He snapped awake after seeing a pair of cold and aloof eyes inside a void behind the tribe's destruction and hearing a chilling voice stating Su Ming had disappointed it. Nearing the tomb's depths, he heard Han Mountain's ancestor telepathically calling him Destiny and telling him that he had been waiting for his arrival.
Outside, Lake of Colors broke the seal and entered together with the left preceptor of Freezing Sky Clan, Zhou Shan, a Berserker in the Berserker Soul Realm. Before entering, Zhou Shan called Han Mountain's ancestor Han Kong and said that he had arrived 8,000 years ago from the Immortal Realm.
Su Ming suspected that Han Kong intended to posses him. To understand the process, he asked He Feng to attempt it on himself. Inside his mind, Su Ming noticed that the stone debris had fused with his spirit. Touching it, he heard the feminine voice from his dreams more clearly than ever before, as she called him brother and said that she could feel him. After a few moments, it was silenced again. During the possession, Su Ming's memories flashed before his eyes from entering Han Mountain's ancestor tomb to arriving in Wide Han forest by falling from a crack in the sky while laughing hollowly.
Entering the innermost depths of the tomb, Su Ming meet Han Kong, who believing him to be Destiny wished to be sent back to the land of the immortals after having fulfilled his duties. Su Ming denied knowing such a method and asked Han Kong to help him regain his memories through possession. Seeing his memories flashing before his eyes again, Su Ming saw what had happened after being sucked into the void.
He saw himself floating in darkness for unknown years. He saw himself chained by five gigantic chains. He noticed that he was covered in blood, his eyes were closed and he had no scar on his face. Before him stood the severed head of the Second God of Berserkers exuding an indescribable power. A red sword penetrated through the entire head. An indistinct man, whom Han Kong called Di Tian, sat on the hilt of the sword. With a cold voice, he stated that this was Su Ming's destiny. The strung up Su Ming refused to acknowledge it and the scar from Dark Mountain appeared underneath his eyes. Di Tian did not consider his words and gazed at him. Su Ming saw his merciless and aloof eyes, the memory shattered and Han Kong's Nascent Divinity disappeared.
After Han Kong's death, Su Ming confused about his past isolated himself inside a strange mountain cave within the grave. While his body was continually absorbing the remnants left behind by Han Kong, his blood veins gradually increased attaining completion of the Blood Solidification Realm and summoning the deity statue of Awakening, but Su Ming refused to Awaken. Returning to Tranquil East, he met with Han Cang Zi, who in exchange for some of his memories asked him to kill Si Ma Xin because he was the one who had turned Fang Mu into a Berserker Seed and planted his love within Han Cang Zi using the Great Art of Heartless Berserker Seed.
Su Ming decided to challenge the Chains of Han Mountain belonging to Puqiang to gather the aura of death necessary to create Spirit Plunder and be accepted into Freezing Sky Clan. He made Han Mountain Bell chime 28 times forcing its spirit, the Nine-Headed Dragon, to appear and obtaining part of its inheritance.
While traversing the seventh section of the chains, he saw an illusion of Lei Chen. He looked old, covered in wounds with black insects crawling inside them, his right eye was blind and there was a circular black mark at the center of his brows. Lei Chen stated that he had buried Su Ming with his own hands, laughed brokenly and punched his own chest disappearing. The second illusion was Bei Ling. He appeared as a handsome man wearing a green robe and missing his right arm. Bei Ling refused to believe that Su Ming stood before him. He laughed coldly, as he mocked what he thought to be an illusion of Su Ming created by an ancestor of the Great Tribe of Miao Man, before disappearing into nothing. After him, Su Ming saw Wu La, the Head of the Guards, Shan Hen and eventually Mo Sang. The elder still had a head of white hair and was wearing the same clothes. He first had a baffled and conflicted look, before it was replaced by gentleness, love and praise. The elder started speaking, however his body dissipated after Su Ming was attacked by a member of Puqiang.
Under the pressure of the Chains of Han Mountain, Su Ming started to manifest more blood veins. The deity statue of Awakening clad in black armor reappeared. It ordered Su Ming to awaken, but he suppressed the desire in an effort to manifest more blood veins. Using the aura of death from Puqiang, he started to create Spirit Plunder, which made lighting calamity descend. His body started breaking as 999 blood veins manifested. There was no space for the last one besides over the scar underneath his eyes, but Su Ming refused to erase it. The 1,000th blood vein dissipated and the presence of Awakening enveloped Su Ming's body. He was granted the title Divine General of Awakening, an illusionary black armor and South Asunder Sword, which the statue stated would be given to him after he arrived at Great Yu. He refined the power of lighting into his Origin Awakening Vessel, which appeared as a black plate in the shape of a cauldron with nine holes on its surface and made a lighting mark appear between his brows. Using its power, he took control of Han Mountain Bell before leaving.
Su Ming isolated himself within a mountain range to safely sense or draw his Berserker Mark. He sensed two Berserk Marks, the red moon of the Fire Berserkers and snow, which appeared as a white flower inside a mirror made of ice, but chose to discard both. Instead, he drew Dark Mountain, his tribe and the surroundings as his Berserker Mark.
Returning to Han Mountain City, he healed Fang Mu and defeated all the Awakening Berserkers within the city in an effort to be accepted by Freezing Sky Clan. Learning of his identity as Mo Su and the Divine General of Awakening, the two envoys offered to take him back to the clan. While walking towards the Relocation Rune, everything around him froze and Tian Xie Zi appeared. He offered to take Su Ming as a disciple while acting as a profound and mysterious old man and promising him countless benefits.
Arriving at Freezing Sky Clan, Su Ming became part of the ninth summit. With Tian Xie Zi as his master, he had four senior apprentice brothers above him. His eldest senior brother confined himself in a constant state of isolation. His second senior brother Hua planted flowers and trees during the day and stole them at night. His third senior brother, Sun Da Hu, drank all day and night while practicing a dreaming art. Su Ming found out that each of them including their master were trying to understand Creation and by following this path they would gain epiphanies and undergo changes of heart. The path Su Ming chose was World Picture Creation.
When Si Ma Xin arrived to Freezing Sky Clan, Su Ming did not pay him any attention, but was shocked when he saw a girl resembling Bai Ling standing next to him. He smiled bitterly after realizing she was another person called Bai Su. Si Ma was angered after Su Ming blocked his path and they started fighting. During their clash, many disciples commented that they both were very similar. Using Han Mountain Bell, Su Ming caught Si Ma's small snake. With the help of Tian Xie Zi, he understood the God of Berserkers Transformation and created Berserker Obliteration. Shocked by Su Ming's potential, Si Ma decided to sacrifice all his Berserker Children in an effort to turn him into his Berserker Son, but was interrupted by the left preceptor and the battle ended.
Back at the Ninth Peak, Su Ming made the insect rod his own and fused the Wings of the Moon with He Feng at his request. Si Ma sent Bai Su to follow him after noticing the unrest she produced in Su Ming's heart in an attempt to plant a Berserker Seed within him. Su Ming was hesitant to let her on the Ninth Peak, but accepted after understanding this would temper his heart.
One day Tian Xie Zi wearing purple appeared before him and asked if he knew how to fight with Arts. To which Su Ming replied that he wanted to witness a battle of Arts. Firstly, Tian Xie Zi took him to witness the battle with his own seventh junior as a confirmation of the authenticity of his path of cultivation. Secondly, he took him to met an old xun maker living inside a small tribe. The old man's actions seemed to have a calming effect, but a battle of hearts between him and Tian Xie Zi was happening. When he finished making the xun, he asked Su Ming to play it. Su Ming's song was filled with his memories from Dark Mountain. When his song ended, the sullenness on Tian Xie Zi's face had disappeared and the xun maker smiled gently. Before leaving, Su Ming asked him to fix his broken xun. Thirdly, Tian Xie Zi took him to witness a battle between himself and Shamans outside Sky Mist Barrier where he asked Su Ming to draw him fighting. After the fight ended, Tian Xie Zi dared Su Ming to chase and kill one of the injured Shamans within their own land.
Su Ming succeeded, but before returning, he noticed that a Shaman child had noticed him. He did not have the heart to kill him and left, but was soon being chased by his tribe. A fierce battle erupted. Su Ming killed many of his pursuers and soon was fighting the Patriarch of the Lizard Shaman Tribe. He eventually won and intended to kill everyone inside their tribe, but changed his mind and returned with his master.
Back at the Ninth Peak, Zi Che returned heavily injured after being attacked by Zhuo Ge from Northern Frontier Tribe. There were black bugs on his body that reminded Su Ming of Lei Chen. Accompanied by his master in disguise, a Spirit Slave of his eldest senior brother, his second senior brother and third senior brother, Su Ming attacked Phantom Dais Tribe to kill Zhuo Ge. There he realized that his second senior brother was actually the Phantom King. After extorting Phantom Dais, Phantom Equal asked to speak with Su Ming. In exchange for Purple Harmony, he wanted to know the identity and location of Lei Chen, whom he believed to be the next Phantom Equal. After swearing that he had no ill will towards Lei Chen, Su Ming told him what he knew and left. Phantom Equal tried to contact Lei Chen, but was killed by a semi-transparent person wearing royal robes and a crown.
Two months before Sky Mist Shaman Hunt, Su Ming was invited to attend Western Sea Clan's auction. Su Ming was not interested, but went after learning that one of the items auctioned was a cauldron to create pills. During the auction, Bai Su tried to make the Berserker Seed within Su Ming blossom, but instead it made his change of heart pass and his cultivation increased to the peak of the later stage of Awakening. He bought a fire ape similar to Xiao Hong, two drops of Sea Marrow, a Magnetic Wraith Stone and the cauldron, which had a yet incomplete medicinal pill inside it.
After returning to the Ninth Summit, Su Ming tamed the fire ape, had He Feng enter his shadow after he completed his fusion with the Wings of the Moon and started making preparations for the Sky Mist Shaman Hunt. Si Ma Xin was scarred by Bai Su's father, but was allowed to enter Freezing Sky Cave.
Before the Sky Mist Shaman Hunt had begun, ten shooting stars appeared over Freezing Sky and Western Sea Clan. A catastrophe was approaching the Land of South Morning. South Morning and the Eastern Wastelands were separated by the Dead Sea, but now the Eastern Wastelands had begun to move in a collision route towards South Morning and with it the Dead Sea had started to cover the lands belonging to the Shaman Tribe. This had made countless Shamans desperate to pass Sky Mist Barrier and enter the land of the Berserkers, forcing them to start the battle sooner.
Using a giant flying sword, Su Ming with other Berserkers was sent towards Sky Mist Barrier. While flying there, he was taught a body refinement technique by Jing Cheng Rong. Before arriving at the barrier, Su Ming decided to get his xun back from the old man. He had repaired the xun, but told Su Ming that if he wanted to play it he had to forget himself and give the xun a soul. Su Ming immersed himself in a strange state of tranquility as he played the xun. During this time, three Shamans attacked him, but they were killed by the fire ape, the Spirit Slave and He Feng. The soul that Su Ming created was actually the soul of his Berserker Mark, which made his cultivation increase to great completion of Awakening.
While returning to Sky Mist, Su Ming fought a Soul Catcher. When he was caught under his illusion, Su Ming heard the feminine voice calling him brother once again. This time, the voice was filled with anxiety, asking him to wake up, saying it was too late and that someone was stopping.
During the battle ouside Sky Mist City, Su Ming faced numerous Shamans. One person standing with the Shamans was an Immortal that called him Destiny. He sensed a familiarity from her. The same as when he had met Han Kong and Si Ma Xin in the past. When he was trying to get close to her, his desire for speed made the black stone fragment shine with a dark light increasing his speed explosively and turning him into the wind. He asked if his sister was all right, which terrorized the woman, but he could not hear her reply, as he was teleported away.
Under the stimulation brought forth from the battle, Han Kong's Berserker Bone gradually dissolved within him. His cultivation showed signs of breaking through making the deity statue of Bone Sacrifice and a part of the deity statue of Berserker Soul descend.[28]
Due to the black stone fragment's interference, deceived, the deity statue of Berserker Soul proclaimed him the Wind Berserker, granted him the Provenance of Wind, the Wind Separation Slash Art, the Crystal of Inheritance and told him to journey to Great Yu to receive the True Spirit. The deity statue of Bone Sacrifice proclaimed him Divine General of Bone Sacrifice, granted him a dark blue illusionary armor and told him to journey to Great Yu to receive the Southern Barren Square Cauldron and the true armor. Four of his vertebrae gradually transformed into Berserker Bones making his 1,000th blood vein appear once more. The immortal cultivation technique he had been practicing until now turned his aura from gas to liquid. In one last attempt to gain more power, he tried using the stone fragment to deceive the deity statues into thinking he was the Lighting Berserker. The deity statue of Bone Sacrifice proclaimed him the Lighting Berserker, granted him the Origin of Lightning, the Nine Thunderous Destruction Art and half of the Crystal of Inheritance from the real Lighting Berserker. Being the Lighting and Wind Berserker at the same time, it also granted him a portion of the power belonging to the first God of Berserkers.
He Feng disappeared during the battle. Fearing being attacked for the legacy, Su Ming left Sky Mist as well.[29] Chased by an old Berserker in the Berserker Soul Realm, he chose to seek help from Autumn Sea Tribe by pretending to be a Shaman Soul Catcher. The Shamans agreed to help, but still suspicious asked Su Ming to accompany their tribe. Zong Ze sealed the old Berserker.[30] Within their tribe, Su Ming saw boys having a rattle drum, the same toy he had himself, when he was a kid. The Shamans revealed they knew who he truly was, but had chosen to help him because his eldest senior brother was their Shaman Lord of Nine Li, a descendant of the Nine Li Tribe. Su Ming also learned that Immortals would descend three years later. When he decided to leave, an old woman, one of the most powerful Shamans of the tribe, forced him to give up the Spirit Slave and wanted to extort more from him was it not for Su Ming threatening to use the the first God of Berserkers' power.[31]
While journeying, Su Ming decided to turn a mountain range into his home after noticing the power of the world being denser than usual within it and improving it using the Execution of Three Evils. His existence attracted the attention of the nearby White Bull and Black Crane Tribe which until then were having a dispute over a nearby cave filled with Shaman Crystals. After being frightened by Su Ming's powers, White Bull Tribe's Patriarch Bai Ge decided to not bother him anymore. However, Black Crane Tribe's Patriarch hired Madam Ji.[32] She was a Medial Shaman who had refined her husband, Ji Yun Hai, a Latter Shaman and a Soul Catcher, into a puppet. She approached and fought with Su Ming, who killed her. However, under her final Spell uncontrollable urges and lust attacked his reason.[33]
Under the Spells effect, Su Ming flew to White Bull Tribe. Bai Ge, sensing what had happened and fearing Su Ming, intended to send him three women from his tribe, but Su Ming left. He trapped himself within Han Mountain Bell to resist the Spell. After suppressing himself for three days, a barrier broke within his head and he lost consciousness. Su Ming had become much thinner, his hair was completely red and he was exuding an indescribable power.[34] When he woke up, his power gradually increased and far surpassed even the Berserker Soul Realm. Confused about what had happened, he only remembered that he was named Su Ming and his enemy was Di Tian. He wanted to raise his power. He knew Secret Arts, so he attacked many Shamans to absorbed their power. He attacked Autumn Sea Tribe, killed the old woman, took Wan Qiu with himself in order to use a Secret Art on her and increase his own power further.[35]
After releasing her and leaving crimson dragon with her, he rushed towards the mountain where he sensed the power of the Immortals. On the way there, he fought with an Immortal whom he forced to use the Hidden Execution of Justice Art. The Art refined his own eyeball into a weapon. After taking the eyeball, an Immortal was killed by Heaven’s Halberd and Su Ming continued moving towards the Immortals’ Mountain of Descending.[36]
On the mountain, Su Ming came face-to-face with Di Tian. Di Tian spoke in a grand manner, but Su Ming simply mocked him and they started fighting. Di Tian stated that his spirit had breathed his last breath far into the past, yet due to his seal he was allowed to escape heaven's punishment, but now he would receive it. Su Ming was gradually being suppressed. Under the threat of death brought from Di Tian's power, he realized that he truly was Hong Luo. His spirit gradually faded, but he used an Art to assist Su Ming before disappearing.[25]
Su Ming dreamed of the past. He dreamed of the feminine voice, which Di Tian called Fei Er, speaking to him and naively not understanding the Immortals mistreatment of Su Ming or herself. When he awoke, he saw Di Tian standing before him. He heard Hong Luo's voice within his mind. He told him he had used Path to Life, an Art that with his growth in cultivation would help him break the seal on his memories and purify his blood making it the purest among the Immortals. Di Tian moved to put Su Ming to sleep once more, but he retailed by using the power of the First God of Berserkers. Their power clashed, Di Tian's clone was heavily injured and dissipated. Su Ming teleported away using the Gate to the Void produced by Hong Luo's Art.[37]
Book 3[]
Su Ming landed in the glacier in the Dead Sea. After half a year, he came back to his recently created cave abode, where small snake was waiting for him.[38] From Hong Luo's memories, Su Ming knew Immortals' cultivation system. He used Hong Luo's divine abilities and turned the old Berserker into Poison Corpse. Next he used his Nascent Soul to possess Ji Yun Hai’s corpse.[39] Su Ming used his clone made from Ji Yun Hai’s corpse and went to the Black Crane Tribe to punish them for sending Madam Ji. Members of the tribe summoned their Sacred Progenitor, which turned out to be a small bald crane, who claimed to be very powerful. After Su Ming's Nascent Soul clashed with it, the bald crane, suprised by its own small power, run away shouting about holding a grudge.[40] Later, Su Ming went back to the glacier. There he fused the Wind and Lightning Crystals of Inheritance into his Berserker Bones.[41] He had a vision from Wind Berserker, who taught him three Styles of Wind Separation. After mastering Sun Genesis, he tried to get the spiked club, but a gigantic two-headed dark turtle appeared. Despite dark turtle's anger, Su Ming managed to snatch the spiked club and escaped through the Gate to the Void. After coming back, he was visited by Bai Ge, the Patriarch of White Bull Tribe. He agreed to take two Shaman kids to World of Nine Yin.[42]
There, wearing a mask and using name Mo Su, he befriended Nan Gong Hen. He was passionate about famous red-haired Su Ming with crimson dragon.[43] After Shaman kids got into trouble with Madam Zhao, Su Ming met Tie Mu.[44] Facing a Latter Shaman, Su Ming used that opportunity to test himself. He humbly fought Tie Mu. He stunned everyone spectating. Tie Mu didn't want to continue the fight, so he chose to punish Madam Zhao. He noticed Su Ming's polite attitude and a help to retain his dignity. He was unable to feel too angry towards Su Ming.[45]
Next Day, Su Ming went with Nan Gong Hen to hire a Spirit of Nine Yin. Su Ming hired Li Huo first, who help Su Ming hire shrewd old man.[46] Month later, Su Ming participated in the treasure gambling event. [47] Wan Qiu and Tian Lan Meng also were present. There Su Ming gained a Crimson Stone with the poisonous wasp. He came to conflict against the Grand Elder of the God of Shamans Temple.[48] During the fight, Su Ming summoned Ze Long Shen, who greatly injured the Grand Elder. Also when crimson dragon came to him, everyone realized he was red-haired Su Ming. Temple Lord Mo Bai appeared and apologized Su Ming, granting him gifts. After that, Su Ming left with Shaman kids to the burial site of the Candle Dragon.[49]
After Shaman kids become Soul Catchers, they left. Candle Dragon's Will recognized small snake as its descendant and wanted to devour it. Small snake sacrificed itself, so that Su Ming could leave, but he didn't want to leave his pet and went after it himself into the carcass of Candle Dragon.[50] Inside, he found purple armor and a transparent jade slip. After Di Tian's servant's intervention, who followed him all the time, he was sealed in the Undying and Imperishable World.[51] In that world, Su Ming fought, died and wandered as a soul for countless years. After finding his own fusion of his past and future, he managed to leave the Undying and Imperishable World.[52] Candle Dragon's Will respected him, gave him blessing and allowed small snake to devour it. With Candle Dragon's Will's help, Su Ming transformed all his bones, not just in spine.[53]
On the outside, Su Ming was looking for missing crimson dragon, Poison Corpse and Ji Yun Hai's corpse. First, he encountered Nan Gong Hen and Fated Kin being under attack by Sacred Bats. He learned from the creatures about Eternal Li Mountain before killing them without an effort. Fated Kin worshipped him as Respected Senior Mo.[54] Nan Gong Hen told him what happened to World of Nine Yin and that they were stranded there for 15 years. Su Ming went on to retrieve Poison Corpse and then storm the palaces of Spirits of Nine Yin for crimson dragon. In fourth palace, he met Li Huo, who let him through. In sixth palace, he encountered Ze Long Shen, with whom he clashed briefly. He managed to get to the last ninth palace, where he met Chief Elder of the Spirits of Nine Yin.[55] After explanations about their mission to found corpses of powerful beings and their catastrophe, Su Ming agreed to cooperate with Spirits of Nine Yin. As the World of Nine Yin was waking up, Su Ming visited Eternal Li Mountain, where he stumbled upon left behind an illusion of Li Shan Huo, the third God of Berserkers. From it, he learned about Life Cultivation.[56] When he came back to Spirits of Nine Yin, he was told about binary opposites. Fated Kin finally left the World of Nine Yin. In last moment before he was relocated too, Su Ming looked around the Vessel and figured out, he might have been a dead baby, Spirits of Nine Yin found in the past.[22]
Back in South Morning, the Catastrophe of the Eastern Wastelands was incoming, so Su Ming went to the glacier once again to wait it out.[57] As he befriended the two-headed dark turtle, he was shown a frozen imperial city of Great Yu by the turtle.[58] After the catastrophe, he returned and run into Zi Yan and Ya Mu, who brought him to Southern Swamp Island. There he reunited with Fang Cang Lan and killed Yun Lai, who tried to force her to lay with him. That death, caused the island to lost the seals. Zong Ze explained him, that then they were vulnerable to Eastern Wastelands' Berserkers from Scour Sieve Island, who liked to hunt down those from South Morning.[59] Then Su Ming travelled to the Scour Sieve Island, where he slaughtered everyone. He only spared Mo Luo, whom he took with him. Su Ming also met again the bald crane. They left the island, leaving it soaked in blood.[60]
Finally Su Ming came back to Ninth Summit after so many years, but he met there lonely, miserable, crying Hu Zi, being extorted by Heaven Gate disciples.[61] After hearing explanations what happened, Su Ming invaded Heaven Gate. There he fough three Berserkers in the middle stage of the Berserker Soul Realm, one of them being Zi Che, who was under control of Si Ma Xin.[62] Old man Berserker explained to Su Ming how Si Ma Xin took over Heaven Gate with Great Art of Heartless Berserker Seed. Su Ming didn't want to kill Zi Che, because he belonged to the Ninth Summit. The small snake devoured Zi Che and kept him inside. In higher layers of Heaven Gate were tribes, which placed their hopes in Su Ming to free them from Si Ma Xin's control.[63] In the fourth layer, Su Ming met He Feng. He was confident that he had completely escaped Su Ming’s control and turned into a real Fire Berserker. In his drive to show his power, He Feng fused with fir and was burnt into ashes. In next layer, Su Ming encountered Phantom Dais Tribe. They wanted his left arm to gain freedom in exchange Lei Chen's location.[64] Su Ming choose to destroy the ceeling, which was connected to their lives, saying that sometimes, death is a form of freedom. All Phantom Dais tribe members died. The Undertaker of Evil’s Armor absorbed all of their vengeful spirits. After that, Su Ming rushed to eight layer. There were gray corpses of members of the Great Tribe of Freezing Sky missing left hands.[65]
He finally met Si Ma Xin, who revealed a scene of Bai Su approached by giants. Si Ma Xin was sulking about his defeat to Su Ming previously. Su Ming killed him easily, but Si Ma Xin recovered instantly using the gray corpses.[66] Si Ma Xin wanted to change Su Ming's heart by breaking him and plant a Seed within him. But Su Ming didn't fall. He killed many copies of Si Ma Xin. Then he fought real body of Si Ma Xin, who called himself the Fourth God of Berserkers and was using the Second God of Berserkers’ Arts. After few moments, Su Ming caught him in a cycle of self-destruction using Destiny.[67]
As Heaven Gate was collapsing, Su Ming went to save Bai Su and her father. Then a yellow dragon came out of a crack. It was roaring with great power at Su Ming, but a woman voice told it to let Su Ming go. She was wondering why Su Ming had the presence of Abyss Builders though. Su Ming escaped to Ninth Summit with Bai Su and her father.[68]
After that, he followed Si Ma Xin into ice tunnel under the sea. They clashed again. Si Ma Xin was shocked by Su Ming's power, when he couldn't kill him using the Second God of Berserkers' Arts. Su Ming used Welcoming of Deities pill, which absorbed the Second God of Berserkers’ soul fragments and was able to use his Arts too.[69] When Su Ming used Curse, severly wounded Si Ma Xin wasn't recovering. He decided to activate Five Direction Seal from the Second God of Berserkers’ left hand on Su Ming. As Si Ma Xin was lamenting about his fate, his body fell apart.[70]
After the battle, when Su Ming sat down on the left hand of the Second God of Berserkers, he felt warmth and he was absorbing the power. During that, Su Ming had visions of the Second God of Berserkers in Great Yu with two babies, crying girl and a boy, which looked as if he was dead.[24] With time, the left hand withered away and dissipated. All the power within it was sent into Su Ming, who reached the great completion in the Bone Sacrifice Realm. He deceived the Five Direction Seal with the black stone fragment, and took it for himself.[71]
Later, when he was comprehending Life, Beiling and Chenxin came to the Freezing Sky Clan's island looking for the Second God of Berserkers’ left hand. Hu Zi and Bai Su protected Su Ming, who was still in meditation. When he opened his eyes, he was a bit confused by seeing Beiling. But he quickly understood, who Beiling was and his life at Dark Mountain Tribe. He let them walk away.[72]
Next, Su Ming left Ninth Summit and met old xun maker again, who told him he was still asleep. He gave Su Ming a chance to breakthrough to the Berserker Soul Realm by killing his memories about Dark Mountain Tribe, but Su Ming refused it.[73]
Su Ming figured out, Di Tian would come for him, so he prepared himself for the battle. Once Di Tian found him, he wanted to fight against him, against his fate, against his confusion.[74] Despite great effort from Su Ming, Di Tian managed to withstood his attacks. As he tried to wipe Su Ming's memories, he encountered strong will born from experiences in Undying and Imperishable World.[75] Even with Second God of Berserkers Arts, Su Ming couldn't win, when Di Tian summoned Abyss Sword. But while Su Ming used Destiny, he finally shocked Di Tian, who was forced to cast Soar to the White Sky. A young woman watching their fight decided to help Su Ming. At the same time, old xun maker intervened and saved Su Ming relocating him away.[76]
Su Ming ended up in a small family in Eastern Wastelands. While recovering, he lived with Ugly Little Thing and her parents. He was called Dog Leftovers.[77] There he learnt Grass Knot Art from the father. After a year, he joined Evil Spirit Sect in place of Ugly Little Thing to restore his cultivation base under a name Chen Su.[78] He became a disciple of Sect Elder Zhao Chong. He used him for his medicinal cores. Eventually, Su Ming found out that the Sect Elder possessed Ugly Little Thing's older brother, who's soul he saved after killing the Elder.[79] Later, Su Ming met Bao Qiu and Qian Chen. He used Qian Chen to test Grass Knot Art. When the Berserkers' Disaster came, he helped Bao Qiu to pass it. While facing Eastern Wasteland Bell, he received a right to enter Eastern Wastelands Tower.[80]
Next day, Eastern Wastelands Tower descended. Evil Spirit Sect attacked a branch of Hidden Dragon Sect. Su Ming managed to snatch Bright Yang Stone from Gu Yuan Hai, which put him against Shen Dong. An Evil Immortal only proposed to exchange three blows with Su Ming. Afterwards, he thanked Su Ming for enlightment.[81] Later, he met Sun Shan, who and tried to trick him and made his Master to descend into his body. Su Ming allowed that to happen, because he wanted Hidden Execution of Justice.[82] Next, he studied Bright Yang Stone. As he tried to break into Berserker Soul Realm, he was stopped by Di Tian's seal.[83]
Subsequently came great battle between Immortals and Evil Immortals for the control over Eastern Wastelands Tower.[84] Su Ming saw many people from his life in Dark Mountain Tribe, whom Qian Chen introduced as Immortals.[85] Su Ming blend in and tried to cause as many casualties in all sects as possible. He injured Sikong with Curse and framed Bitu into death of Great Sect Elder of Sky Mist Dao. Then Su Ming attacked from suprise one of Di Tian's clones. He used power of Curse fused with Grass Knot Art and destroyed the purple-robed clone. While at it, the Berserkers' kismet fused into him.[86] Many Berserkers from All Entities Clan or Great Tribe of Surging Clouds felt their blood boiling as a sign of appearance of God of Berserkers. Su Ming finally reached Berserker Soul Realm, but created only one arm of his statue of the God of Berserkers from Dark Mountain and Ninth Summit from his Berserker Mark.[87] Then he clashed with second Di Tian's clone. During the fight, he arrived at the middle stage of Berserker Soul Realm and created another arm of his statue from snow and blood moon from his Berserker Mark and Origin Vessel.[88] After he wounded the second clone with Berserker Obliteration, which also sounded his God of Berserkers Song. Ji An couln't accept Su Ming getting stronger and he attacked him too. As Su Ming executed great combo to keep Ji An occupied, he devoured second Di Tian's clone.[89] Afterwards, his eldest senior brother under Di Tian's control appeared. He had mutiliated body. By fighting, he helped Su Ming reach the later stage of the Berserker Soul Realm. He fused the Wind and Lightning Berserkers deity statues, newly created by him Fire Berserker deity statue from He Feng's soul, four runic symbols of wind, rain, thunder, lightning and the Curse to create a torso for his own statue.[90] They continued fighting and his eldest senior brother went through transformation into his progenitor Xing Gan, which released him from Di Tian's control. Despite the Berserkers' kismet, Su Ming still didn't acknowledge himself the God of Berserkers. At that moment, Immortals' reinforcment were sent to Land of Berserkers. As they were descending, Su Ming was killing as many as he could. While thinking about living amongst Berserkers, he became more resolute and created legs for his statue from previous Gods of Berserkers' soul fragments and a head with Su Ming's features from Lie Shan Xiu's stone monument as he reached great completion in the Berserker Soul Realm. Moreover, he uncovered the true Berserkers' sky. More Berserker tribes arrived to greet Su Ming.[91] And he declared this world as forbidden grounds to Immortals. Then Di Tian's magical body appeared. He said it was 37th time, this clone came to that world, but it would be the last. Su Ming recolected some of his memories. They clashed. Su Ming fused with his own statue of God of Berserkers and withstood Abyss Sword, Bright Yang Stone and Nine Planetary Punishment. Present Berserkers were so impressed they were willing to die with him. Di Tian saw a rebirth of Berserker's soul and wanted to kill them all, but old xun maker appeared and stopped him. He also made Su Ming relive his reincarnation.[92]
Su Ming awoken in a life, where he never was sent to South Morning. He became an old man in Dark Mountain Tribe. Then he travelled the world. He fought Great Patriarch of Shamans alongside middle-aged Tian Xie Zi and Li Long. As he have understood reincarnation as a point, which is Berserkers' Realm Mountain.[93] Then Su Ming woke up in reality. He understood his history and Di Tian's Reincarnation Art of making him sink into oblivion. He wanted to to move from death to life, from Yin Death to Bright Yang, from the Land of Berserkers to the land of Immortals. Three deity statues of cultivation realms appeared and bowed to Su Ming, making him enter Life Cultivation. He established his Life Matrix as moving from death to life, from winter to spring and his statue of the God of Berserkers as deity statue for others to comprehend the Life Cultivation. Then he destroyed Di Tian's magical body with Curse.[94] Next, Su Ming summoned frozen Great Yu Imperial City, which he felt, while all present Berserkers fought Immortals. His soul transformed into Atman, but then he was suddenly injured and his armor destroyed. Angry Su Ming sent his Atman out. He travelled into the Immortals' galaxy. There on a gigantic floating continent, he saw his real body lying on an altar and real Di Tian. He finally was sure, that he was the dead boy Spirits of Nine Yin found and the Second God of Berserkers was raising. He realized he was currently just a soul. Su Ming was determined to leave the Yin Death Region one day and fuse with his real body.[26] As slaughtering Immortals in the Land of Berserkers continued, he killed Jingnan, Chenchong, Bitu and others to wipe them away from his memories. He also killed Sky Mist’s ancestor, but spared Tian Lan Meng and her sister. Then Immortals sent three treasures. First turned his eldest senior brother among others into stone statue. Second treasure, which was Second God of Berserkers' head exploded killing many Berserkers. Third was the blue sword, which chased Su Ming. After he used frozen Great Yu Imperial City to crush Immortals' Rune for descent, Su Ming run away into Yin Death Vortex, where the blue sword got weaker. After meeting ancient beings there, he devoured the sword and dragged it into Eastern Wastelands Tower.[95] In the Tower, Su Ming refined the sword to be his own and he got to ninth layer. Beside learning divine abilities of Surging Indulgers and Evil Spirits, he gained epiphany about his Life Matrix and his autumn.[96]
After a year, Su Ming walked out of the Tower and went with Berserkers to destroy Immortals' sects. He gave a place of Great Leaf Immortal Sect to Fated Kin.[97] He helped Berserkers rise to power, because his soul was living there, and his Master and senior brothers are Berserkers. Su Ming went to destroy Great Leaf Immortal Sect himself, because that was Di Tian's sect. There he encountered Beiling, whom he killed and Chenxin, who explained him they partook in his life cycles caused by a Reincarnation Art of Di Tian to obtain serendipities. Su Ming also found there his second senior brother.[98]
When they were about to leave, they met Yu Xuan, who was with Xiao Huang, in form of a mutt, and the bald crane and Qian Chen. Second eldest brother immediately tried to marry her to Su Ming. Then they all left to South Morning.[99] They made a stop at Southern Swamp Island, where Su Ming reunited with Fang Cang Lan. Yu Xuan stuck close to them all the time. Eventually they arrived at Ninth Summit. Hu Zi was happy seeing them back, but there was a bit embarrassing misunderstandment with a beast skin scroll with naked man and woman in various positions.[100] After that three brothers talked. They made a plan to help their eldest senior brother and to go search for their missing Master. Second senior brother sent Su Ming after Shamans' Great Patriarch. He suggested to take Xiao Huang with him, because of his nature of a powerful Abyss Dragon. That forced Su Ming to have Yu Xuan go with him.[101] At God of Shamans Island, Su Ming overpowered Great Patriarch, but also helped him gain enlightenment. Great Patriarch was very grateful and he offered his aid, if Su Ming would ever need it.[102] Next Su Ming visited Li Long. He offered help with epiphany about Life Cultivation, but the Berserker turned him down. It was difficult for him to acknowledge Su Ming as new God of Berserkers.[103]
As second senior brother and Hu Zi were tending to the eldest senior brother, the Ninth Summit was invaded by Dao Yuan from Morning Dao Sect. Yu Xuan nad Xiao Huang helped Su Ming, but Dao Slaves were too powerful. When Su Ming got gravely injured, with a kiss Yu Xuan transferred her Abyss Death Aura to heal him. Afterwards she lost her consciousness and Xiao Huang took her away. Meanwhile, people living on Ninth Summit, including Bai Su were sacrificing themselves as repay for saving them from Si Ma Xin.[104] Then three souls, which were sealed inside Su Ming were released by him. In thanks, they killed four Dao Slaves and one of them conjured a vision of real Bai Su alive in another world. There was someone, who prevented harming Dao Yuan. Shocked Young Master called in remaining Dao Slaves to descend to the Land of Berserkers. When despite reaching Life Privation Realm Su Ming was about to perish, ancient will from Yin Death Region made the world froze and asked him if he wants to be Yin Death's Child. It offered to save Ninth Summit, Su Ming's elder brothers and protect the Land of Berserkers, but its conditions were to wear a black steel mask and head to the Barren Lands of Divine Essence to search for the king of Yin Death's Fragmented Worlds or an entrance to the Fifth Great True World. Moreover, it explained that once Su Ming wore this mask, he would no longer have freedom, lose his ability to love, he would become cold and heartless, lose all sense of pain, and would no longer be himself. Su Ming agreed, but he asked for seven days to wait, heal his eldest senior brother, kill all present Dao Slaves and a chance to kill Dao Yuan himself. Ancient being accepted these terms. Su Ming took Dao Yuan's Sacred Constellation Robe and tortured him before killing him brutally.[105]
Su Ming left quietly to the Alliance of the Western Region, being followed by the bald crane. He returned to the Dark Mountain, but he didn't find Dark Mountain Tribe there. Su Ming only dug out discarded items, which he recognized as belonging to his former tribe. After walking around, he found a small tribe. There he witnessed a scene between a girl and a young man. She was asking him, why he wasn't keeping to his promise of staying with her. Su Ming sent his Atman into a young man to take control over him and made him say a promise, that they would walk till their heads turn white in the snow, and when it wouldn't be snowing. Then he walked away and put the mask on his face.[106]

Su Ming was Relocated to the Barren Lands of Divine Essence together with the bald crane. He ended up on Crimson Flame Planet, where his body was breaking down, becasue it was made from aura of death from Yin Death Vortex. He was taken by local cultivators and put as an offering to Crimson Python Phoenixes living in volcano. After being eaten, with his soul Su Ming created new body from the flesh of that creature.[107] Once Su Ming established his dominance over a region on the planet, he was invited by Tian Lin to break into alien race criminal's seal and absorb power of World Planes.[108] Because of Tian Lin's personal revenge, True Guard Jing Nan Zi was alerted about their actions.[109] After arrival of the True Guard, other involved cultivators died, Su Ming retreated into Duke of Crimson Flame's chamber. There Jing Nan Zi was easily killed by sealed Surging Indulger.[110] Duke of Crimson Flame, who recognized him as Abyss Builder, wanted to make a deal with Su Ming. In exchange of his physical power and a protection, Su Ming was suppose to promise, that once he created his own Abyssal World, he would retrieve the Abyss Soul Flags that belong to Surging Indulgers and resurrect the millions of his people who died during the war. Then they escaped with bald crane Crimson Flame Planet from incoming True Guards.[111] They travelled for hunder of years. Su Ming learned about cultivation and about his alleged race. Duke of Crimson Flame thought him Art of Swallowing Hollow Shadows Whole. Once, they ran into a cultivator with Blood Identification Pearl, which detected Su Ming as wanted criminal.[112] Other cultivators were after them, so they went to Heavenly Treasure Planet. There Su Ming slaughtered more than two hundred of cultivators. True Guards arrived, but Su Ming and Duke of Crimson Flame managed to escape.[113] As the bald crane took over the Rune monitoring galaxy, they had short respite. More True Guards were sent after Su Ming and reward was increased. When Su Ming came to face Zhao Tian Gang, he wanted to test his skills.[114] Su Ming wanted make lives of True Guards and everyone who was after him a living hell. He visited over thirteen cultivation planets and was freeing with bald crane's help sealed ferocious beasts and cultivators of alien races. Although Dao Ren with many True Guards found him, Su Ming escaped into Western Ring Nebula's foreign land, as he laughed at them and promised to pay them back for everything when he returns.[115]
In the foreign land, Su Ming was forced to start Sui Chen Zi's inheritance test.[116] He met Zhou Kang, who explained him some of it. Su Ming spend there hundreds of years gaining progress. Su Ming didn't want to be a weakling anymore. He wanted to become a powerful warrior. He want to control his own life. He gained epiphany about his autumn, that he lacked vitality, because he was that dead baby.[117] Eventually, he started last test to possess the golden tree with golden heart, which was Ecang. After many tries, Su Ming occupied the half of the tree with bald crane's help, and he saw that there existed one hundred thousand galaxies and one hundred thousand trees. He was frustrated and started burning his soul. Su Ming started possessing all one hundred thousand trees. He called the ancient will from Yin Death Region to help him fight against Ecang's will. Four presences from the seal on the mask showed up. They were people from Yin Maelstrom, Boundless Gangue and Just Progenies. These existences were wiped away, and Su Ming was finally free from seals. He figured out that Di Tian still had a hold on him.[118] When Su Ming was burning his soul to force Di Tian away from him, his real body was decaying. That made Di Tian upset, because he still needed Su Ming's real body. Ultimately, Di Tian gave in and broke the control over Su Ming's soul. Then he had a vision of Sui Chen Zi using his Four Great Arts of Divine Essence. Su Ming was told to tell his understanding of them in three breaths of time. He was successful and even gained an enlightenment. Sui Chen Zi helped him with possessing Ecang.[119] Finally, Su Ming managed to possess one hundred thousand golden hearts in all one hundred thousand trees of purple Ecang, using black stone fragment. He also used it to imitate purple Ecang's presence and send a message to other nine wills to stay away. After 310 years from taking the last test, Su Ming created the Ecang Clone, became a master of one hundred thousand galaxies, which belonged to purple Ecang, and used them to made a breakthrough with his Surging Indulger Clone.[120] Then he met injured Zhao Tian Gang, who was forced by Gong Sun Yin into foreign land. Su Ming stood up for Zhao Tian Gang, and Gong Sun Yin was trashed. When Su Ming was leaving the foreign land, he told everyone to train there and try to gain epiphany. He also promised that, when the day comes that he would complete his Dao, all of them will be free.[121]
After Su Ming left Wester Ring Nebula's foreign land, he found a clue about the bald crane's past. Once Duke of Crimson Flame saw his Ecang Clone , he was shocked by its might. He sworn him allegiance. They went to the main camp of the forces of the four Great True Worlds, where Su Ming killed Dao Ren and found out more clues from Wu Li Zi.[122] He was chased away by a Master of Fate, Lives, and Death, but managed to retreat into foreign land, which was the safest place for him. Then they decided to head to Black Ink Planet. On their way, they made a stop at Crimson Flame Planet, where Su Ming visited Yue Hong Bang. He erased all of their memories about himself. Later, they run into injured Abyss Dragon Xiao Huang, who was chased by many cultivators.[123] There he met Yu Chen Hai, who was impressed by his sealing skills and offered a place of a guest in their family on Black Ink Planet. The bald crane admired Su Ming's deviousness, when he extorted Yu Chen Hai and his family for one billion crystals.[124]
After arriving at Yu Family's place on Black Ink Planet, Su Ming was forced to take the Three Gates of Heavenly Dao test. After passing Dao Avenue Mountain, he gained respect of Family Elders. Inside Sun and Moon Shines Together, Su Ming met the Sun God and Moon Goddess. Once he absorbed them, Progenitor Yu Rou appeared and greeted him as the Apostle.[125] She wanted him to enter third gate. Inside it, the fourth Progenitor Yu Han tried to possess him, but he was possessed instead. When Su Ming came out, the thirteen old Progenitors appeared and zealously greeted the fourth Progenitor Yu Han, who was suppose to possess the Apostle and become the God. Su Ming turned thirteen old men with the Art of Believing to obey him.[126] Later, together with Yu Chen Hai, Yu Rou, the bald crane and Xao Huang, Su Ming went to visit Lie Shan Family. When he met Lie Shan Kang Jiu, he immediately recognized his as Berserker. During the auction, Tai Ci Yong picked a fight, but his guards were easily killed. Su Ming met Elder Feng Lai, who introduced himself as Wind Berserker and greeted Su Ming as new God of Berserkers.[127] After Tai Ci Yong was killed, Tai Ci Family decleared war on Lie Shan Family, but they were struck by internal strife. This was secret control of Lie Shan Family. Elder Feng explained Su Ming about how Lie Shan Xiu had to leave Berserkers, because of the ancient will from Yin Death Region. How he longed for his home and his people. And how they were waiting for new God of Berserkers. Lie Shan Family and Black Ink Planet were prepared for him as a force.[128] Later, Elder Feng took Su Ming to place, where Lie Shan Xiu was seen last time. His soul was absent, but his body was there standing and turned into a stone. After three years of centemplation, Su Ming discovered Lie Shan Xiu's call for help from Divine Essence Star Ocean. Afterwards, Su Ming chose to possess Dao Kong, as his Cultivation Clone. Before Black Ink Auction, Su Ming and Yu Rou went after the bald crane and Xiao Huang, who were running cons on Black Ink Planet. They even were known as Dual Fiends. Su Ming also visited Ye Wang. They discussed cultivation, strenght and fairness. Su Ming planted a Dao in Ye Wang's heart to disrupt it and change his mind and life.[129] During the auction, Su Ming managed to possess Dao Kong after elaborate scheme.[130] After that, he decided to go to Divine Essence Star Ocean to look for Lie Shan Xiu. Using identity of Dao Kong, he left Black Ink Planet with Dao Kong's retinue, which were Nine Frail Darknesses, a catwoman, three thousand fearless cultivators and Xu Hui.[131]
On their way, Su Ming discovered another function of the black stone fragment, after they were attacked by Waves of Tears. He also saw a vision of Old Man Extermination.[132] With his new powers, Su Ming planned his rise in Morning Dao Sect and slowly taking control over it. He was envisioning himself becoming Kalpa Lord of True Morning Dao World, destroying Immortals and wills from Yin Death Region and getting back his physical body.[133] Afterwards, they ran into Dijiu Mo Sha, who Su Ming recognized as a Shaman. He followed him with the bald crane, Xiao Huang and Xu Hui and learnt about his connection with Master Tian Xie Zi. As they were crossing desert of Sand Earthlings, Xu Hui was attacked. When Su Ming faced Suiyun Zhen Changlin, the Antecedental Spirit felt the black stone fragment and Old Man Extermination's presences and apologized to him. He asked Su Ming to write down his name in the ballad he would reactivate. Suiyun Zhen Changlin offered to him three attacks and his Divine Essence.[134] Then Su Ming cnotinued travelling with Dijiu Mo Sha to his tribe. He spent some time with Xu Hui, who knew he was not Dao Kong. One day, Su Ming had a dream abot his promise to Bai Ling. When he used the Malicious Eye, he saw her next to his real body. He realized he was obsessed with the promise, not Bai Ling. After thousand of years, his first love was over. Then he was drinking wine with Xu Hui. Next day, both of them got messages about war between the Immortals' Union and Morning Dao Sect.[135] Su Ming learnt that his Master might have gone to Fifth True World and that to get there one needs fifth stone, which can be obtained in the fifth kiln. After hearing how his Master was hunted by four races, because of the fifth stone, he wanted a revenge on them. He massacred a planet of Heaven Traversers. He wanted to fight against a Master of Fate, Lives, and Death to test himself. So, he fought the Heaven Traversers' Progenitor. When he was injured, but gained some enlightenment, he called for Suiyun Zhen Changlin to make his first attack out of three promised. The Ancestral Spirit of the Sand Earthlings sealed the Heaven Traversers' Progenitor for a month.[136] Then Su Ming managed to convince the bald crane and Xiao Huang to act as baits and lure a lot of beasts on Heaven Traverser.[137] Afterwards, Su Ming with Xu Hui, the bald crane and Xiao Huang met with Xuan Shang and his companions and went to Dust Burners together. In the Relocation Vortex, he met Resentful Wei and left a deep impression of himself in it to tame it later.[138] Xuan Shang asked Su Ming for help with going to fifth kiln. They infiltrated Dust Burners. Dust Burners' Progenitor was happy with power of the person Su Ming impersonated. Su Ming learnt about the fifth kiln, Abyss Builders and Su Xuan Yi, who was one of masters of the fifth kiln.[139]
Before entering the fifth kiln, Su Ming tamed a Resentful Wei, by making a promise he would kill anyone, who want to kill it.[140] Then, being still in the body formed by Xuan Family's supreme treasure together with the bald crane, Xu Hui, Xuan Shang and his three companions, he met Flame Fiends' Progenitor, Zhu You Cai, Huang Mei, Sir Wu and Reverend Zi Long. Su Ming noticed Dao Kong's catwoman with Sir Wu. They all entered the fifth kiln.[141] Because of echoing "Su...", a will awakened in the bald crane, remainding it about its identity of Kong Mo from Saint Defier and its mission.[142] As they they passed through many dimensions, the voice disappeared and the bald crane calmed down. They arrived at the dimension with a huge tree. Xu Hui recognized a cultivator sitting under the tree as Long Hai from True Morning Dao World, who disappeared long ago and was presumed dead. After Flame Fiends' Progenitor appeared in that dimension too and was attacked by the tree, Su Ming attacked him for showing a bit of killing intent before.[143] Flame Fiends' Progenitor was forced to escape with only his Nascent Divinity. Meanwhile, Long Hai regained consciousness. He quickly swore an oath to serve Su Ming, if he saved him. That oath was branded in universe and made Long Hai connected to Su Ming. Treant Ta Luo humbled before Su Ming and greeted its progenitor, Ecang. When Su Ming touched its leaves, Treant Ta Luo felt that Su Ming was a master of the fifth kiln. It offered its treasure to him. Long Hai fused into a body of supreme treasure and they left, after Treant Ta Luo told Su Ming to go to the core of the fifth kiln to be acknowledged as a master of it.[20] Huo Kui, being only as Nascent Divinity, stuck to Su Ming for protection as revenge on him. Su Ming used that to lure Sir Wu. They staged a fight. As Huo Kui was getting injured more and more, Sir Wu figured out that Su Ming lied to Flame Fiends' Progenitor and was really tried to weaken him. He turned into Heavenly Centipede and made a move on two of them, but was attacked by Su Ming and Resentful Wei. Huo Kui was wary of Su Ming's diabolical schemes.[144] Sir Wu was in dire situation and was forced to use his ower of Ancient Wu. When the Resentful Wei was gravely injured, Su Ming made his strongest attack. Sir Wu had already burned all of his blood and his body plummeted to the ground.[145] After the battle, Fire Spirits came out from underground. Su Ming hid the Resentful Wei into his storage bag. Fire Spirits started chasing only Huo Kui and the body formed by treasure, which was controlled by Xuan Shang. Su Ming was ignored by Fire Spirits and he charged after body of Sir Wu, to get storage bag with catwoman inside. Then he found himself in a cave with two old Fire Spirits and chessboard. There he figured out the game on chessboard left by Abyss Builders' Progenitor. He also got Life Inequity Spear from skeleton of Chang He.[146] In another dimension Su Ming and Huo Kui found the body of the supreme treasure of Xuan Shang and Zhu You Cai. Su Ming thrown Life Inequity Spear at him and recognized Zhu You Cai as Chang He.
Later, everyone arrived at the dimension with legacy of Ya Mu. Cultivation bases were sealed and they had to walk up the mountain like mortals. The body of the supreme treasure shattered.[147] During the climb there were tremors and Xu Hui fell down. Su Ming saved her, but he was left in the black canyon. There he met Ya Mu's projection, who explained him the other ferocious part of the Mountain Shifter Art. Su Ming accepted Ya Mu's challenge with a wicked smile. As Su Ming was competing with ferocious spirits of dead cultivators. Ya Mu was interested in his murderous aura and he changed rules of competition for his entertainment. Ecang Clone went through a transformation. Su Ming fused with that part of Ecang for good, which interfered with a law of heaven. As one of the inspectors from Arid Triad Expanse Cosmos, Ya Mu's projection felt, he had the duty to kill all lives who interfere with the laws. But then Su Xuan Yi's third clone appeared and forced Ya Mu's projection to fulfill his promise about Mountain Shifter Art.[148] Ya Mu was not gonna interfere with Su Ming, so when he won, Ya Mu gave the serendipity to him. When Su Ming was gaining epiphany about Mountain Shifter Art, Huang Mei used his big gourd to kill him.[149] When Huang Mei was certain of triumph, Su Ming pulled out his small Immortal Slaying Gourd. Everyone was in disbelief. Illusory small female human from Huang Mei's gourd came out, but she only showed her infatuation to small male human from Su Ming's gourd. Su Ming noticed change in Ya Mu's tone and he decided to test him. Su Ming fished was information and made Ya Mu mention Su Xuan Yi's third clone. Su Ming finished inheriting Mountain Shifter Art and the dimension was collapsing. While others were transferred to other dimensions, Su Ming was absorbing cultivation bases and life forces of Ya Mu's ferocious spirits and dimension. Old man released the full power of essence of his dimension on purpose. Whether Su Ming could succesfully absorb it was not his concern. It was to get back at Su Xuan Yi. Su Ming made his all three clones to reach Lunar Kalpa Realm. Then three distinct personalities connected to his cultivation path of moving from winter to spring were born in him and fused with the clones. As he finished absorbtion, he yearned for his real physical body. A calling of his three clones reached his real body in Immortal's galaxy in True Morning Dao World. Immortals tried to supress Su Ming's clones' calling, but Su Ming succedded with Three Mountains Illuminating the Moon in opening his real body's eyes for the first time.[150]
Su Ming fused his three clones together, which formed a large powerful moon shining gray, red, and yellow light. During that moment, the presence of death spread out from his whole body and he had a heartless and aloof persona of death. Xu Hui didn't really recognized him. He grabbed her and they left collapsing dimension. When Su Ming noticed Zhu You Cai in tears, his appearance changed. His hair turned yellow. His pupils also gained a yellow shade, and the presence spreading out from him was a vast, indescribable life force. There was also a warmth in him that that would cause everyone to give up on everything and choose to follow him. When they arrived at the first border near the core of the fifth kiln, the bald crane woke up. Su Ming was unstable and the color around Su Ming's body changed into crimson red and a vast murderous aura spreaded out. Moment later, he returned to how he usually looked. Su Ming needed to fuse with his real body. The bald crane was suprised by changes in Su Ming, but it came to conclusion, that the stronger Su Ming, the more the bald crane can bully others and snatch crystals. Then Su Ming, who was gray, encounterd ghosts, which he killed. When he heard voice saying "Su..." like before, Su Ming returned to normal. He explained his personality changes to Xu Hui. They arrived at the center of the core, where was coffing lying on the altar. There Su Ming recognized woman in the coffin to be his mother from memories. He had a vision of her and Su Xuan Yi. And how he declared True Morning Dao World to be made for Abyss and changed his son name from Su Yun to Su Ming. Su Ming acknowledged being Abyss Builder and his Su Xuan Yi's wish to turn Arid Triad Expanse Cosmos into a place built for the Abyss. He became a master of the fifth kiln. Su Ming took one of the fifth stones and left the fifth kiln with Xu Hui.[151]
Outside of the fifth kiln, Xuan Shang, Reverend Zi Long, Flame Fiends' Progenitor Huo Kui, Progenitor Long Hai and Zhu You Cai were expelled by Su Ming from inside. He made them all to serve him as guards for a year. They went to meet Dust Burners' Progenitor. Su Ming asked him to send Xu Hui away. In return the Progenitor asked a handful of dirt from Burning Dust Planet, Fire Spirits' birthplace.[152] Then they went to the fifth ocean, to open a passage to the Fifth True World. As powerful cultivators came lured by the fifth stone, Su Ming's guards were fighting them. After six months, Virtue Rooters and Reng Wu races came. Soon after, the guardians of the fifth ocean arrived. They asked for offering. because of the difficult situation, Long Hai and Reverend Zi Long left Su Ming. Huo Kui was conflicted, because he knew Su Ming could be devious and ruthless and he terrified him. During the fighting, Zhu You Cai was recognized as Chang He. When the spirit of Reng Wus’ ancestors made a move, Su Ming called for Suiyun Zhen Changlin to make his second attack out of three promised. Su Ming used Zhu You Cai to draw the spirit of Reng Wus’ ancestors and destroy it as revenge for his Master. Then he offered all those present from Virtue Rooters and Reng Wu races to the guardians of the fifth ocean to open the path to the fifth True World. He also requested to reduce time of opening the path to one day. When guardians asked for more offering, Su Ming turned crimson, a madness that screamed of destruction appeared in his eyes and the illusory outline of the fifth kiln formed in the distance. He dared them to ask again.[12] The four guardians with masks opened the path obediently. At the instant the three pillars of light forming the triangle appeared and Su Ming was relocated.
When Su Ming spent nearly a century on the Abyss Vessel Planet in the fifth True World, he figured out it was fake. Then the Mask of Cessation appeared in front of him. It was the same mask that he was forced to wear, when he left Yin Death Region. Su Ming understood that the ancient will from Yin Death Region wanted to make him the fifth guardian in the fifth ocean. Su Ming made a connection of Lie Shan Xiu and Tian Xie Zi becoming masked people. Then a voice of the ancient will spoken to him. It wanted him to wear the Mask of Cessation and become the fifth guardian of Dark Dawn Ocean, the Envoy of Cessation. The power of kismet of True Morning Dao World from Dao Kong’s body clashed against the mask. The ancient will knew it was Su Xuan Yi's machinations. When kismet was defeated, Ecang’s presence spread out to fight, but it was shattered. When the mask covered his face, Su Ming used his black stone fragment, the Seed of Life Extermination to find its flaw. A figure of the Old Man Extermination appeared and he touched the mask. As the structures of mask were being rapidly disassembled, the ancient will was shocked for the first time. The mask disintegrated. The ancient will collapsed the space around them and the storm stirred up in the fifth ocean.[153]

After Su Ming's clash with the ancient will from Yin Death Region, the fifth ocean evaporated. People with the Masks of Happiness, Anger, Grief, and Resentment disappeared. Several days later, Su Ming walked out of the fog with the bald crane. Su Ming suspected Lie Shan Xiu and Tian Xie Zi being two of the four masked people. To find them, he needed to find the ancient will from Yin Death Region. He was also wondering about Su Xuan Yi. Since he couldn’t find the real entrance to the Fifth True World, he decided to return to True Morning Dao World. The bald crane happily agreed about going back to True Morning Dao World for all crystals there. After they picked up Huo Kui, they visited Zhu You Cai. Su Ming promised to ressurect Zhu You Cai's wife, once he activated his Abyssal World and they left Divine Essence Star Ocean.[154]
They stopped before Western Ring Nebula’s foreign land. Su Ming absorbed all Ecangs except the yellow and indigo. He became a master of Western Ring Nebula's foreign land. All stone monuments and galaxies were purple. Cultivators in the foreign land were worshipping Su Ming. He told them to reach the later stage of World Plane and he will take them out of the Barren Lands of Divine Essence.[155]
Afterwards, they arrived at the camp of the forces from True Sacred Yin World to retrieve the bald crane's physical body. Su Ming used Dao Kong's identity. Immediately three Almighties appeared, but Su Ming ignored them. The female Almighty wanted to teach him a lesson about disrespecting seniors, but Su Ming just slapped her. He ordered to detain them and Zhu You Cai sealed them.[156] After learning it was about Huo Zhu, Almighties led them insede. The female Almighty didn't want Su Ming to harm her junior sister Huo Zhu, so she was forcing Su Ming to act in forceful manner. When Su Ming smiled maliciously, Zhu You Cai, being from True Sacred Yin World, stepped in and asked them to open the Rune. As he was ripping the Rune apart, one of his elders from True Sacred Yin World appeared told them to leave. When Zhu You Cai and Su Ming didn't listen, elder in Life Realm ordered to kill Huo Zhu, chase away Zhu You Cai and cripple Dao Kong, who was Su Ming. When Su Ming made the fifth kiln appear, everyone was in disbelief, because of that legendary item. Almighty in Life Realm was apologizing Su Ming and calling it a misunderstanding. Su Ming activated fifth kiln and it burned nearly ten thousand cultivators from True Sacred Yin World. Many Radix Planets collapsed. After declarations of going to war, Xu Hui appeared, calling Dao Kong, His Highness. Almighty in Life Realm was shocked by Dao Kong being one of the Dynasts. He also noticed that Almighties from True Morning Dao World were not interfering with Dao Kong’s actions and were only watching. Ten Almighties from True Sacred Yin World attacked Su Ming, but few of them were killed, including the one who chased him in the past.[157] Huo Zhu was in terror, because she never met Dao Kong before. When he asked for Kong Mo’s physical body, she pretended to not know anything. Huo Zhu used her divine ability, Time Is Akin to a Song, but Su Ming negated it easily. She tried to reverse time. When she reversed it by thirty thousand years, time returned to the point when he had not been born, when the power of the curse had surrounded him in his mother’s womb. The curse killed Huo Zhu. Su Ming took her storage bag, in which he found a black coffin. The bald crane came out and sensed his presence from the carcass inside the coffin. It was reluctant to fuse, so decided to leave it for other time.[158]
After arriving at the the camp of the forces from True Morning Dao World, Su Ming was greeted by nine Frail Darknesses, Tai An Yin and other Almighties. Nine Frail Darknesses were very excited seeing their Young Master. Tai An Yin was very impressed by Su Ming's skills. They told him, that Dao Kong was designated a Dynast, at the time when Su Ming had walked out of the fifth kiln. Then they explained about competition between ten Dynasts. Tai An Yin let Su Ming know what might await him in True Morning Dao World. They also mentioned war with the Immortals' Union. Tai An Yin added how grateful he was to the Progenitor and wished honestly best of luck. Su Ming boarded a galactic warship and finally left the Barren Lands of Divine Essence.[159]
Su Ming arrived to True Morning Dao World as Dao Kong with the bald crane, Xu Hui, Huo Kui, Zhu You Cai, Nine Frail Darknesses and his other servants.[160] Dao Fei Feng tried to challenge Dao Kong, but he got killed quickly. Then they ran into a battle at the one of the one hundred and eight Relocation spots to Morning Dao Sect. While killing Immortals, Su Ming had a short ancounter with Beiling and Bai Feng.[161] After entering the sect, they visited Dao Kong's continent, where Su Ming was greeted by Dao Kong's servants and his family. After that, Su Ming passed the Blood-Soul Fusion test with the best result, despite Sect Master Yu Lin trying to make things difficult for him.[162] Three days later, the Anointment Ceremony for Dynasts led by Sect Master Bei Bang started. Seven million cultivators challenged Dao Kong, who was Su Ming. As he saw scorn from other Dynasts and the disregard from Sect Master Bei Bang, he put that to memory. When he found out he had lowest rank in the Striking Lands, Su Ming rushed there.[163] He cleared all nine stages on the first Striking Land with brute force. In the second Striking Land, Su Ming succedded in thirty-five breaths. At the third Striking Land, he faced Jin Xiu, who was the garrison there. Once he survived all attacks, Jin Xiu conceded defeat. Su Ming learnt God Slayer Art.[164] In the fourth second Striking Land, Su Ming was greatly injured by the Light of Extreme Darkness, but the bald crane helped him and absorbed it. That caused three wills of Sect Masters in Death Realm to descend. They questioned Su Ming. After not getting proper answer, they decided to cancel his right to be a Dynast and banish him to Dao Ocean. Then a ray of golden light descended from even higher place than three wills. It brought a piece of paper and a young man, who announced Dao Kong to be the garrison of the fourth Striking Land. He gave a paper to Su Ming as a gift from Dao Chen. As he was leaving, the young man gave a smile to Su Ming. The three wills were angered, but couldn't do anything against Dao Chen's orders.[165] As the Anointment Ceremony resumed, Su Ming only had couple challengers, who were courteous and only wished to exchange blows with him. Then other Dynasts challenged him too. Yu Lin made Dao Fa also challenge him. When they were about to attack Su Ming, a former True Guard sent by Yu Lin came back from the Barren Lands of Divine Essence. The Sect Master couldn't wait to hear Dao Kong's secrets. That person told everyone present about Dao Kong's accomplishments, which left them speechless. The Dynasts were moving away from Su Ming. He wanted them to kneel before him. Everyone except Dao Fa followed. When he diidn't, Su Ming thrown Life Inequity Spear, which torn him to shreds.[166]
Afterwards, they moved to trails in Dao Ocean. Dao Lin was first to kill ten lost souls and he entered illusory battlefield. Since Su Ming figured out the illusory battles the Dynasts were sent to were determined by the lost souls they killed, he was chosing targets only with high cultivation levels. Eventually, he entered an illusory battlefield with a powerful giant and the black-robed man. In that part of a trial, he was suppose to change the outcome of the battle as best as he could. As he fought black-robed man, that person recognized the celestial origin of tremors in Su Ming. The black-robed man was killed by Mountain Shifter Art. Ancient God Luo Han didn't help him, because he wanted to find out what Su Ming tastes like and to see who was stronger.[167] Luo Han and Su Ming clashed with punches. Su Ming's body exploded and his soul left. Su Ming fulfilled two goals in that part of a trial. The Predecessor of Dao Ocean explained Su Ming's shortcomings and offered another try, which Su Ming took. Su Ming was keep fighting Luo Han. With each try, he dealt more damage to the Ancient God. The predecessor of Dao Ocean explained him the power of tremors. After the trial, Sang took Dao Lin, Dao Hua and Su Ming to the Progenitor’s isolation grounds to activate the Flourishing Lotus.[168]
Su Ming already figured out Dao Chen was Su Xuan Yi. When a wave of power descended onto him, he rejected it. He knew the Flourishing Lotus robe was created using Abyss Builders’ inborn ability. Su Ming felt resentment and when he was walking away, he heared voice with an apologetic note saying "Ming Er". Relocation of power took him to a secret chamber, where was decaying and ancient body of Dao Chen. The figure of Dao Chen admitted he was Su Xuan Yi, his father. Su Ming didn't want to stay there. He didn't want to his father to use him as a chess piece in his plans. Su Xuan Yi was speaking in anguish about making up for the past, but Su Ming's personality of crimson madness resurfaced. He was furiously asking how Su Xuan Yi would make up for all the time Su Ming was alone in the Berserkers' world, thirty cycles of his life in Dark Mountain Tribe, Di Tian manipulating him time and time again and controlling his destiny. He was asking where was he all this time. Su Ming added he would protect his mother in the fifth kiln from then on, because he thought Su Xuan Yi was unworthy. That hurt Su Xuan Yi. A blood trickled down the corners of his mouth and fell on the purple wooden sword. He had nourished that sword for countless years and was prepared to give it to him as a gift, a present that symbolized his apology. It was similar to the sword Su Ming played with, when he was young.[169]
Meanwhile, many guests from other three Great True Worlds arrived at the ceremony. Old You and old Ming from True Sacred Yin World were asking where was Dao Kong. Su Ming came to the place of ceremony with bloodthirstiness in his crazed gaze. When Yu Xuan saw Dao Kong, she recognized him as Su Ming and a smile gradually appeared on her face. When Su Ming saw Yu Xuan, he remembered their last moments. The third prince noticed Yu Xuan expression and he grabbed her by the neck. When Su Ming saw that, his madness flashed and a sea of fire erupted from him. As he rushed at the third prince, one thousand Abyss Dragons charged at him, which where shredded to pieces. Old You and Ming used that situation and offered help to kill Dao Kong, but Zhu You Cai tangled them. Su Ming didn't care about anything than helping Yu Xuan. With steadfastness, he manifested power of Mastery Realm. Su Ming's moon crumbled and a gigantic, peerless sun was formed. He gained an epiphany of true power, the true Great Dao. His sun started to melt and the presence of those belonging to Mastery Realm radiated off him.[170] When Su Ming manifested second finger, he made an attack, which killed third prince's guards. Even four-fingered palm was unable to destroy prince's protective screen of light with the Aura of Abyss. Su Ming had problems manifesting fifth finger. After he injected a lot of God Ascension Nectar, his body was breaking apart, but he managed to manifest fifth finger. Ling Hai felt great admiration. Reverend Zi Long was in disbelief. Old You and Ming had complicated emotions. As Relocation Rune was activated and the third prince and Yu Xuan were about to relocate, the screen of light broke. Su Ming yanked the third prince back, and as he was about to grab Yu Xuan, a familiar power descended between them. Yu Xuan disappeared. Su Xuan Yi told Su Ming, she would be safer in the Emperor of Abyss’ True World and that she didn’t suit him. Su Ming only laugh brokenly. Another Su Ming's personality formed. His hair and eyes turned black. Sect Masters Ri, Yue, and Xing saw the third prince in Su Ming’s hand, they tried to convince him to not kill him. But Su Ming brutally killed the third prince. Then Su Ming clashed with old You and Ming. He made the fifth kiln appear and let out all powerful beings from inside. Shortly after, five existences in Death Realm delivered old You and Ming's heads to Su Ming. All those from True Sacred Yin World had died, while all those from the Emperor of Abyss’ True World had their bodies and souls destroyed. Spectating cultivators were in shocked, that such powerful beings bowed to Su Ming. Then Su Ming wanted to go to Dao Chen's isolation grounds to confront his father, Sang appeared and took him there. Su Ming recognized Sang's tone as his Elder's. Su Ming radiated the black, dead stillness and the vast resentment, his presence darkened the world. Su Xuan Yi explained him what he was doing all that time. How he fought the Sublime Paragon of True Morning Dao World.[17] Su Ming figured out how Su Xuan Yi had already planned out his entire life and how he was doing it for all Abyss Builders. They argued about home and kin. Su Ming wanted Su Xuan Yi to not use him and his friends anymore. He wanted Su Xuan Yi to walk down his own path himself. Su Ming said he didn't want to meet him anymore. After Su Ming came back from Dao Chen's isolation grounds, all remaining guests were gone. As all beings from the fifth kiln returned inside it, Su Ming hidden it. Sect Master Xing explained that to become next Kalpa Lord, Dynasts need war achievements. The full-scale war was about to begin. Dynasts received their orders. After seeing his orders, Su Ming gave up an idea on leaving Morning Dao Sect and he left with the bald crane, Xiao Huang, Huo Kui and Zhu You Cai. He was to kill Bai Feng, the Sacred Lady of Phoenix Sect.[171]
Su Ming met the army of War Chamber's Earthen Pole with thick murderous aura. Once he released his own malicious presence, which seemed to be the source of evil in the universe, a respect was formed in War Chamber’s cultivators led by Wild Dog and they escorted him. Su Ming felt alone. He wanted to have home. As determination of creating a home grew in him, his Abyss Gate was opening. As Su Ming activated the opening of the Abyss Gate, his life force was sucked in, and his body was almost reduced to mere skin and bones, but there was vast power in him. Accidentaly, he absorbed some life force of Huo Kui with just a glance.[172] During the battle at the territory of Dust Dews, Su Ming absorbed life forces of many of them and even of their nine plantes into his Abyss Gate. During next battle, he faced two black-robed men. When he used Malicious Eye to search for who sent them, he encoutered an afterimage of Xing Ji Dao. That afterimage gained intelligence and was suprised that someone managed to form a connection with him. As he wanted force Su Ming to absorb, the Seed of Life Extermination resisted him. The Abyss Gate sucked a bit of power of Xing Ji Dao's afterimage and he recognized Su Ming as one of Arid Triad’s Abyss Builders. Su Ming closed his Malicious Eye and escaped, but was shocked by Xing Ji Dao's power, which was even bigger than Sui Chen Zi's.[173] Then he clashed with an Ancient God. For every withstood attack, the Ancient God explained cultivation realms to Su Ming. While they fought, Ancient God suddenly self-destructed, because of interference from a Greatmaster. Su Ming tore a crack in space and escaped into the world under space and beyond the universe to save himself. There, powerful lights destroyed his body. Only his Nascent Divinity, right arm, Abyss Gate and the Seed of Life Extermination were left.[174] While being bathed in red-white light, Su Ming discovered parasitic nature of the Seed of Life Extermination, which was slowly devouring his Nascent Divinity. As he was floating in the ocean of light, he was marvelled by the beauty of many endless colorful lights. After observing the Light of Extreme Darkness, he created the Ocean Remover Art, became the Light of Extreme Darkness and devoured four origins of it. Before he came back to True Morning Dao World, near the border of the Immortals’ Union, he picked up scared bald crane. He wanted to get back his real body, but he knew he had too low cultivation level. Su Ming turned into the Light of Extreme Darkness as a ploy.[175]
Greatmaster Zhang Ji Dao was pleased by appearance of rare origin of the Light of Extreme Darkness. He wanted to gain control of it. With it, chances of helping Sublime Paragon Di Tian and Bai Feng would increase. Bai Feng was suspicious of it appearing, but the Greatmaster paid no heed. Su Ming noticed he was in Arcane Void Realm. He was contemplating for a moment about possessing Zhang Ji Dao as another one of his clones, but he dismissed it, because he wanted to focus on his real body. The Greatmaster managed to gain a control over the Light of Extreme Darkness, after the bald crane fooled him with its powers. Then Xing Ji Dao descended. He took a whiff of Bai Feng's scent. She didn't resist. Su Ming saw it, but he felt indifference towards Bai Feng. She chose her path pursuing the power. Then Xing Ji Dao told Di Tian he came with Lord Saint Defier’s orders to help him. Sublime Paragon Di Tian manifested the altar with Su Ming's real body.[176] As Lord Saint Defier's treasure was sent, Avacaniya’s presence, which forced others in the entire True Morning Dao World to kneel in worship. When Su Ming felt the treasure's presence of Avacaniya, it broadened his horizons and he remembered Old Man Extermination giving off the same feeling. As Xing Ji Dao and Zhang Ji Dao tried to control it, Su Ming was sent inside the pillar, alongside Zhang Ji Dao's power, being hidden by the bald crane. Sublime Paragon Di Tian sent his golden Nascent Divinity into Su Ming’s real body. After Su Ming sent his divine sense into his real body, which he longed to fuse with, he sensed danger. The bald crane explained it was One Billion Corpse Soul Seal, a diabolical Art of the Sacred Lady from Dark Dawn’s camp.[177] Su Ming couldn't believe that. He was devastated that his physical body was fake too like his past in Dark Mountain. As his will to live was extinguishing, the bald crane tried anxiously to motivate him to not give up. The bald crane's reminders about learning the truth about all manipulations, caused a madness and a hatred to rise in Su Ming. He saw the sealed memories from his soul about a man, who valiantly fought cultivators in Life and Death Realms, with baby Su Ming in his arms. After he self-destructed, Su Xuan Yi appeared and found broken soul of baby Su Ming. He took it. Next Su Ming saw, a woman objecting to Su Xuan Yi's plan of using Su Zhan's baby to help their race. In another scene, he saw the woman with weak aura drifting in the vast galaxy with baby Su Ming. She was sorry for him. After that visions, Su Ming had clearer mind. He left his physical body with the bald crane and returned to Zhang Ji Dao's body. As Sublime Paragon Di Tian started the possession, the powerful presence erupted from Su Ming's physical body. Zhang Ji Dao recognized it as One Billion Corpse Soul Seal. With grave expressions both Saint Defier's Paragons retreated in haste. While Sublime Paragon Di Tian couldn't escaped from exploding body, he died yelling a name of Su Xuan Yi, whom he fought for tens of thousands of years. The explosion created a gap between Arid Triad Expanse Cosmos and Saint Defier. It would allow cultivators from Saint Defier below Avacaniya Realm to descend with non limited cultivation levels. That in return would force Dark Dawn to attack Saint Defier at full force to seize the gap themselves.[19]
Su Ming’s right hand was absorbed by the Seed of Life Extermination. Su Ming figured out, that Su Xuan Yi was using him as a nourishment to restore his real son. He wanted to cut himself from the past. He choose to possess Zhang Ji Dao. Xing Ji Dao was almost disintegrated, only his Nascent Divinity managed to escape into the white ring. After Su Ming finished possession, he entered the white ring as well. Many planets and sects were destroyed. Tremors spreaded to other True Worlds. Xing Ji Dao was urging Zhang Ji Dao, who was already Su Ming, to leave that place and to tell the three Lords Saint Defiers about Dark Dawn's scheme. Su Ming used a moment when Xing Ji Dao was vulnerable and sent out his Nascent Divinity to possess him too. Su Ming wanted to used Xing Ji Dao's soul to get rid of the Seed of Life Extermination.[178] As Su Ming was fighting to possess Xing Ji Dao, three-tenths of his soul were forcefully absorbed by the Seed of Life Extermination. It was because of Su Xuan Yi. Moment later, it absorbed almost all of his soul and flew out of his body. Only a sliver of his soul remained and he was weakened badly. As the Seed of Life Extermination in form of the statue of half of a ship left into the distance, Su Ming declared he died bidding farewell to his past, and from then on he was Mo Su. He fed on Zhang Ji Dao's soul to recover his. Then he went back to possessing Xing Ji Dao. After he managed to devoure Xing Ji Dao, he appeared to be a young man, and he had a handsome face, but there was a hint of ghastliness to it. He could control the white ring. In the supreme treasure, there was a hint of presence which belonged to those in Avacaniya. If Su Ming could gain an epiphany from it, he would have a chance to step into Avacaniya Realm himself. As he travelled, he swept sorrowful Bai Feng into the ring. They sat inside in silence. Su Ming saved Bai Feng only due to a sentimentality about the past, about the relationship they had, about Dark Mountain Tribe.[179]
Su Ming used Mortal Refinement Art with the bald crane's help to refine the white ring. While Su Ming enterd cycles of reincarnations, the bald crane was waiting for him. It noticed Bai Feng was also involved in cycles of reincarnations with Su Ming.[180] After ten months of raging whirlwind in True Morning Dao World, 39 cultivators with a hundred of puppets were travelling through a galaxy. They went to broken planet, where Su Ming was refining the white ring. When they arrived at that broken planet, they were attacked by bald crane using the Light of Extreme Darkness, because Su Ming was still using Mortal Refinement Art.[181] As bald crane was in weakened sate after an effort, Su Ming opened his eyes. A boundless maliciousness surrounding him, terrifying all other cultivators. He subdued all cultivators and made the serve him. Then he also made Old Monster Wen lead a way to a corpse of an Ancient God. Su Ming, having Zhang Ji Dao's body, wore black robe and put the hood to cover his face. He looked like black-robed men. They took Su Ming as Grand Immortal from Saint Defier. Su Ming wondered if Xu Hui survived.[182] He was also musing about gathering survivors in True Morning Dao World and creating his own force. By using three Saint Defier’ Forbidden Arts to absorb the body of an Ancient God, he recreated his Surging Indulger Clone. Nearby was damaged Relocation spot to Morning Dao Sect. Su Ming announced creation of Ninth Summit Sect. He sent Miao Feng, Dao Zhong, Chen Wen and Si Ma Yu to search for other cultivators in True Morning Dao World and invite them into the sect. He also informed them about his three senior brothers. He wanted to build the sect and become the master of True Morning Dao World before raging whirlwind would stop and Saint Defier and Dark Dawn descended. Su Ming studied Zhang Ji Dao’s memories and learned about Lord Saint Defiers, Sovereigns of Dawn and potential birth of Arid God.[183]
After gaining an epiphany about it from Mortal Refinement Art, Su Ming was pondering about Fate Realm. He wanted to replace the laws in True Morning Dao World, to help in fight against outsiders from Saint Defier. He felt he needed to do that before the whirlwind would disappear. He formed a plan to make people worship and respect him, which would help him control laws of his fate. While studying Fate Realm, Su Ming gained control over his personalities. He fused his personality with golden light into his newly recreated Surging Indulger Clone and he send that clone with Miao Feng to the place with many other cultivators. After hearing about another sect, Su Ming send his Ecang Clone with personality with black shade representing the will of midwinter to destroy it.[18] By using his power, Surging Indulger Clone convinced cultivators there to join Ninth Summit Sect. At the same time, Ecang Clone slaughtered a thousand cultivators, including two Almighties. That forced remaining thousands of cultivators to join Ninth Summit Sect. As Su Ming's clones were gathering new members of Ninth Summit Sect, Su Ming was contemplating from Zhang Ji Dao’s memories about Essences of cultivators in Saint Defier and cultivation of cores from those from Dark Dawn.[184]
At last, Su Ming met his eldest senior brother. While drinking wine, Xing Gan told his junior brother how he, Hua Yan Yue and Hu Zi felt after Su Ming left to the Barren Lands of Divine Essence and how they cooperated with the ancient will from Yin Death Region and left the Berserkers' world themselves. Then Su Ming told what happened to him during all those years. He shared about his thoughts about their Master Tian Xie Zi being one of people with Masks. After mentioning Su Xuan Yi’s plan, the war between Saint Defier and Dark Dawn and founding Ninth Summit Sect to take control over True Morning Dao World, Su Ming added his plan to possess Arid Triad Expanse Cosmos. All of it made Su Ming feel free of burden. His eldest senior brother only voiced his willingness to help as a support. Then they sensed their other brothers. As the ship got closer to Su Ming and eldest senior brother, Hu Zi charged forth to his junior brother and hugged him tearfully. Second senior brother joined them happily too. As everyone rejoiced, second senior brother recited a poem, leaving others in daze. Then the bald crane woke up from a long nap and complimented his poem with idolization. Second senior brother was happy to meet the bald crane, who could appreciate and understand him. When Hua Yan Yue was creating another poem, three brothers beat him up. While they sat together, Su Ming sensed loosing connection to his Surging Indulger Clone. Hu Zi used his ability enter Dream and showed a picture showing his vision. Second senior brother recognized in the picture Heavenly Incense Rune. After that, Su Ming went for his clone with Hu Zi. And eldest senior brother and second senior brother decided to help with setting up the sect.[185]
After Hu Zi, Su Ming and the bald crane arrived in the area of Heavenly Incense Rune, Hu Zi was impressed with his junior brother's clone. As Su Ming got closer to the Heavenly Incense Rune, he got vague epiphany about his cultivation. When he got to his clone, it tried to fight back, but Su Ming easily supress it. As Su Ming made his Surging Indulger Clone leave, he himself was blocked by Heavenly Incenses. The clone left on its own. It fooled Su Ming by retaining independent consciousness. Su Ming made a bet with the will in the Heavenly Incense Rune. If the will would be able to copy Su Ming's future cultivation, he would let his clone have his independence, but if not then he would destroy one of the incenses and take the clone. The will was shocked by Su Ming's desire to possess Arid Triad Expanse Cosmos. The spirit of the Rune lost focus and Su Ming was able to see two visions. First was of him wounded among his dead friends and allies. Second was of him walking with merciless gaze in Dark Dawn with the sea of blood behind him and being called Arid Triad’s Devil Paragon. The spirit called it secret of universe.[186] Su Ming didn't believe it. He insisted, that the spirit of the Rune showed it to confuse him. Then the spirit predicted its own disaster and Su Ming destroying three incenses on that day. And Su Ming destroyed one incense with white ring. The Heavenly Incense Rune’s spirit did not resist and accepted its fate. But then Su Ming stopped to prove the spirit wrong and was wondering how the spirit would force him to break another two incenses. Inside his heart, Su Ming was afraid of the visions becoming true. As day was passing, sixth Heavenly Incense shattered suddenly, which made Su Ming dreary, because he felt his presence from the Seed of Life Extermination. Both Hu Zi and the bald crane noticed Su Ming had descended into a monomaniacal state, and they did not dare bother him. At the end of the day, first Heavenly Incense shattered. Su Ming was suprised by feeling his own presence, but unknown to him. Furious Su Ming destroyed four Heavenly Incenses to defy the secret of universe, but they manifested back. The spirit of the Rune fall into slumber for 3,720 years, informing him they will meet again and see whether what was revealed would happen. Only believing in himself, Su Ming was determined to change his destiny and future.[187]
Then Su Ming went after Surging Indulger Clone. The clone fought him back and escaped into the galaxy with Sun Sinking Talisman. He caught it, sealed and put into his storage bag. Then he sensed a primitive power of Avanicaya Realm in the Sun Sinking Talisman, which remainded him about Ancestral Spirits worshiped in Divine Essence Star Ocean. As he tried to leave, he was relocated by the talisman into All Spirits Hall.[188] Ecang Clone felt a disappearance of the original body. He still acted according to Su Ming’s will and gathered power of the laws of fate.
Su Ming spent four years in a place with color-shifting fog and limited power of the world. As he was pursued by thousands of red figures from Spirit Descension Hall, an old man from Heavenly Spirit Tribe chased them all away. After some thinking, Su Ming connected dots about different eras of Ancestral Spirits and Antecedental Spirits in Arid Triad, disparity in strenght between cultivators from Arid Triad and Saint Defier, and about abilities of the Predecessor of Dao Ocean. Further, he realized the purpouse of All Spirits Hall.[189] Half a month later, when he recovered cultivation base, Su Ming entered the cave of Heavenly Spirit Tribe. There he only found skeletons and carvings on the wall. From the murals he learned the history of All Spirits Hall. The old man apeared suddenly and suprised Su Ming. Despite the anxiousness, Su Ming thanked the old man for saving him. He admitted to being from Dark Mountain Tribe, which to Su Ming suprise, the old man knew. But Tian Bai recognized his soul to be of Great Abyss Tribe. Then the old man told Su Ming about history of Arid Triad and its three races. Tian Bai wanted Su Ming to succeed in spirit ascension and to return to the past and help him find out why he killed his own tribe members. He considered Su Ming a Successor Spirit based on him obtaining the real Berserkers’ Initiation from the Great Berserker Tribe, and also the Abyss’ Awakening from the Great Abyss Tribe. He gave Su Ming three chances of observing spirit ascensions from the memories of Arid Triad’s will. At first he showed Su Ming an ascension of 83rd Elder of Berserkers. Next, Su Ming was shown the spirit ascension of nearly one hundred people from Great Abyss Tribe and one of them succedding. At last, Su Ming chose to watch Great Berserker Tribe again.[190]
Old man Tian Bai sincerely wished Su Ming good luck. As he was retrieving the third memory from Arid Triad’s will for him to observe, he noticed around Su Ming the presence of a race’s enlightenment, which he had never seen before. The race’s enlightenment on Su Ming was Great Berserker Tribe’s only hope at that point in time. Then Su Ming fused with the memory and Great Berserker Tribe, by accepting his identity as a Berserker with his will, spirit and life, even though his body, blood and origin were not. Ten million wisps of Berserkers' souls resonated with him. As Su Ming mumbled the God of Berserkers Song, world from memory fused with present, which shocked Tian Bai. He admired Great Elder of the Berserkers for plotting all of this. After the song ended, All Spirits Hall descended. When Su Ming was about to guess, which position to choose, he remembered six numbers Elder Mo Sang told him in his days in Dark Mountain Tribe. Without any hesitation, he charged to the 781st position on the bottom row.[191] After the success, Su Ming felt the Berserker’s Initiation offered him protection. Since he went through 37 reincarnation cycles, he had 37 Berserker’s Initiations and he figured he had 37 chances to fail. While he was fusing with the Ancestral Spirit, the power of the Ancestral Spirit was transforming his body into a true Berserker’s body. He quickly made a second possession of his Surging Indulger Clone and fused it with his current body of Zhang Ji Dao. All his bones transformed into golden Berserker Bones, that only true members of Great Berserker Tribe could obtain. Then Berserker Veins and Berserker Blood were created in him. His new Berserker Body reached Death Realm. Next, his cultivation base rose up in power. He saw a vision of a man called Zhan Bai. And he witnessed the disaster of long lost era and its terryfying power. Su Ming's cultivation base reached middle stage of Life Realm. At last, he went through a transformation of the soul. Tian Bai was vigilant about Arid Beasts and to not allow anyone interfere with Su Ming's spirit ascension. Su Ming experienced spliting his soul eight times into 256 parts. Due to presence of foreign race, he split one more time into 512 souls. He noticed a soul with blue light and he focused on it. Su Ming had feeling it was his origin soul. He started fusing with other parts. Eventually, he became an Antecedental Spirit and understood the blue light was the power of his mother's race fusing into his soul. Then 36 Arid Beasts appeared. Su Ming recognized Zhao Bai's Master amongst them. As Tian Bai told Su Ming to stabilize his powers, he went to fight Arid Beasts. When Su Ming finished, signs of Arid Disaster appeared. Tian Bai warned him, the Arid Disaster would descend on Su Ming within a year.[192]
Su Ming thanked Tian Bai for help and he pondered about his new felings as an Antecedental Spirit. Images of Great Berserker Tribe from the era before the Ancestral Spirits died became reality. Su Ming was thaught about Eternal Creation Art. Then he witnessed descend of two Ancestral Spirits. Su Ming was one of many, who received a runic symbol of Created in Antiquity Art from them. As Su Ming was gaining epiphany about it, he experienced passage of time. He saw changes in the ancient world, how Ancestral Spirits created All Spirits Hall and died. He saw the races waging war against each other during the era after the death of the Ancestral Spirits. He saw many Berserkers die. Then he saw old man holding a spine, that looked like old xun maker and his elder. He noticed the Great Yu Palace too. He watched old man wondering about a hope for his race. They all saw a butterfly flying beyond the universe. Then the world changed and Su Ming saw millions of souls, which watched him during spirit ascension. Su Ming decided that his creation would be to rebuild Great Berserker Tribe so that all these souls would find rest.[193]
After that, Su Ming refined his techniques. He made Berserker Obliteration reach Eternal Creation level and also perfected Phantom Flash. Next, Su Ming created another divine ability, God of Berserkers Transformation. He wanted to test his might, so he sparred with Tian Bai. When Su Ming used his perfected Berserker Obliteration on him, old man used great amount of his power to withstand it. Su Ming deduced Tian Bai wasn't using his full power, while protecting him earlier against Arid Beasts and intentionally made the Arid Disaster befall on him. Old man only asked how would it benefit him. Su Ming said it doesn't matter, but still thanked him for help. He didn't try second spirit ascension, because his body had already reached its limit. Before Tian Bai sent Su Ming's soul in the past to search for the reason why Tian Bai lost his consciousness when he went through the Arid Disaster and why he slaughtered his people, he warned him to only observe and not do anything else, like changing history, so that Arid Triad’s will would not notice it. Su Ming learned after experiencing far too many things that in this brutal world, it was crucial for a person to be wary of others and he went not just with his soul, but with his own body. While moving back in time, Su Ming saw the history of True Worlds. He ended up in Heavenly Spirit Tribe in the Ancient Wei. His identity was of a teenager Han Di. After a lecture about Arid Dao, Tian Bai went through eight spirit ascension. Su Ming noticed the Ancestral Spirit from 781st position was different than the one he fused with. He thought that All Spirits Hall was fake. When old man fused with an Ancestral Spirit in eight row, he was hit by red bolt of lighting. All other tribesmen were possessed by red lighting bolts too and they rushed at Tian Bai to devour him. Elder with grief scattered his own mind, because he could not kill his own people, while being conscious. When the old man killed the last tribe member, he woken up and cried. After seeing all of that, Su Ming returned to the present. Then he told everything he saw. It was what Tian Bai already expected. He said he would help him fight against his Arid Disaster. He admitted that he brought Arid Disaster on Su Ming, because he wanted a revenge. They went to True Morning Dao World.[194]
As Ninth Summit Sect was under attack from New Dao Sect, and Hua Yan Yue and eldest senior brother were fighting Dao Zong, Su Ming came back after six years. With his will, he made the galaxy disintegrate Dao Zong. Eight yellow-robed cultivators recognized him as an Antecedental Spirit and they started to run away. Su Ming destroyed them with just a cold harrumph. After getting black crystal and Demonic Core from surviving locust, Su Ming still killed it and took its own Demonic Core. All other cultivators from New Dao Sect kneeled in worship towards him. Then Su Ming left with Tian Bai, who was invisible to others, to the South Union. On their way, Tian Bai explained how True Morning Dao World was being transformed into the World of the Abyss Gate. Then old man had replaced True Morning Dao World’s will and the will to make the Abyss grow in it with that of Su Ming's on his request. Su Ming was able to see all True Morning Dao World in his head. He saw every cultivator, including Huo Kui and Zhu You Cai with members of War Chamber on one of the planets. He also saw travelling army of South Union being led by Xu Hui. Furthermore, he saw Yin Death Region and decided to sent his divine sense into it, but he was forcefully repulsed. He managed to sense a presence of Di Tian inside it. Through Arid Triad’s gap, he saw a huge war between Saint Defier and Dark Dawn, which was coming to an end.[195] After pondering about Di Tian's goal, Su Ming turned his attention towards black crystal, which he sensed a familiar feeling from. Old man from Heavenly Spirit Tribe explained it was Spirit Refinement Stone and its traits. Su Ming figured out the Seed of Life Extermination was made from it. After using his Berserker blood, he also felt the Barren Cauldron was was made from it as well. Several days later, South Union's army run into him. By furling his hand into a fist, he crushed the flying log with near one thousand cultivators on it. When Su Ming identify himself as Ninth Summit’s Great Sect Elder, Mo Su, 13 Almighties in Fate Realm and 4 Great Sect Elders in Life Realm attacked him. Despite using Space Sealing Rune, Su Ming massacred Fate Realm cultivators using his improved Phantom Flash with a sneer. The 4 old men in Life Realm were wiped off the plane of existence with a punch. Then he fought two sect leaders in Death Realm, who ordered to form Seven Ultimate Yin Transformation Rune to seal him. Almighties in Death Realm used their powerful Enchanted Treasures, Su Ming used his Arts and Vessels too and killed one of them in five breaths. Ecang Clone used that Almighty to nourish and heal itself. When Su Ming sensed part of his soul reacting to the chilling aura of another sect leader, he let them seal him with Seven Ultimate Yin Transformation Rune. Chilling aura from it made the Dragon of Destruction be born from the part of his soul from his mother.[196]
When another sect leader in Death Realm was about to die, he used his soul to summon Ancient God Ta Jia controlled by South Union. Su Ming helped him regain intelligence, because he wanted to test his God of Berserkers Transformation. As he transformed, he was hundreds of feet tall and punched Ta Jia, which suprised Ancient God. After seven punches, Ta Jia was a bloody mess and his 8 stars almost extinguished. Tian Bai mentioned, that was Ancient God with impure blood and Su Ming dropped the idea to possess him. He preffered the one with pure blood for his Ancient God Clone. Albeit, he used his will of an Antecedental Spirit and made Ta Jia to serve him. Then 500 cultivators from South Union offered their souls to Su Ming, increasing his power of the laws of fate. He felt he was closer to possessing True Morning Dao World. Next, Su Ming approached Xu Hui. He realized, her soul was split, after she used some divine ability to protect herself during Morning Dao Sect's disaster. He helped her recover, but De Shun didn't want it, because he fell in love in that second personality of Xu Hui.
Then current Sacred Lady of Spiritlings tried to attack him, but Tian Bai chased her away. Next, Su Ming went to convert the remaining cultivators of South Union into his laws of fate. Within four days, Su Ming arrived at the place of South Union. He attacked protection Rune with Mountain Shifter Art and Ocean Remover and made the Dragon of Destruction to destroy five planets. All cultivators surrendered to him. The laws of fate from all cultivators worshipping him fused into his soul. He also realized that Su Xuan Yi wanted to possess True Morning Dao World too. A feeling that he was in control of his own destiny and his own laws of fate immediately rose in Su Ming’s heart. He broke through to Death Realm with his cultivation base. Then he spread out his will to cover all True Morning Dao World. Predecessor of Dao Ocean only sighed that finally someone was to replace Morning Dao. When Su Ming spread out his will to cover all True Morning Dao World to possess it, Su Xuan Yi was angry someone was trying to use the chance he created to possess True Morning Dao World in his place. Despite not finishing preparations, he made a move.[197]
At the same time as Su Ming, he tried to possess True Morning Dao World. He was suprised, when he learnt it was Su Ming he was competing with. When they both clashed, Su Xuan Yi's soul was beaten back in his disbelief. He ignored Su Ming and hurried up with possessing weakened True Morning Dao World’s will. The more Su Ming’s soul occupied, the harder True Morning Dao World’s will resisted. Being an Antecedental Spirit helped him preserve. After Su Xuan Yi's soul was forced back by True Morning Dao World’s will, Su Ming asked Tian Bai to hold off True Morning Dao World’s will for a moment and he moved against Su Xuan Yi's soul. Su Xuan Yi decided to retreat, but he put Abyss Seal on Su Ming to impede him. Su Ming used his strong will of Antecedental Spirit, white ring and Dragon of Destruction to overcome Abyss Seal. Dragon of Destruction totally destroyed it and helped occupy Su Xuan Yi's region. Then Su Ming moved onto afraid True Morning Dao World’s will. After an epic battle, Su Ming managed to finally possess True Morning Dao World.
Su Ming’s senior brothers sensed Su Ming's will replacing True Morning Dao World, especially Hu Zi, who was the manifestation of a Rune Spirit. When Su Ming was possessing True Morning Dao World to become stronger and overcome the upcoming disaster, the slumbering Rune Spirit in Heavenly Incense Rune only sighed saying Su Ming still moved down the path laid out for him by the secret of the universe. At the same time, spinning Yin Death Vortex was slowing down, and when Su Ming succeeded, it started spinning in the opposite direction than before.[198]

When holding a galactical vortex in his hand, Su Ming could see every person in True Morning Dao World. Tian Bai felt slight envy. After a moment, Su Ming came to understanding his True World Clone. He realized he couldn't treat it with typical cultivator’s mindset, but as the greatest will in this World. He created meteors and a cultivation planet with a single thought and then destroyed them. Then he made enormous Abyss Gate appear in front of Yin Yun Zi, whom he noticed earlier. His Abyss Gate absorbed Yin Yun Zi's soul, life force, flesh and blood. Next, he made True Morning Dao World's will fuse with the power of the Curse and send it at the Emperor of Abyss’ True World. Tian Bai tried to stop him. Beside three other great True Worlds’ wills, Su Ming sensed asleep mighty Arid Triad’s will. When it was showing signs of waking up, Su Ming stopped his attack. Tian Bai warned him to not use that Art and to not wake up Arid Triad’s will.[199] Afterwards, Su Ming moved inside territory of Morning Dao Sect with just a thought. After seeing the great sect reduced to ruins, with a weave of his hand, Su Ming recreated continents. Then he descended to see the Predecessor of Dao Ocean, who introduced himself as the servant of the True World. Su Ming gave him the mission to protect the Ninth Summit Sect. Then he forcefully shifted current Sacred Lady of Spiritlings to the area in front of him. When he heard his mother passed away, he felt grief despite not knowing her. The woman also gave him End of Wills Sword according to his mother's will. Tian Bai explained him how mighty Sacred Vessel of Great Abyss Tribe it was. After the Sacred Lady left, cultivators from Ninth Summit Sect settled in the territory of Morning Dao Sect. Su Ming headed off to Yin Death Vortex with Tian Bai and the bald crane. He wanted to release the seals on his senior brothers.[200]
After descending to the Land of Berserkers, Su Ming noticed Fang Mu and Yan Luan chased by Zhou Shan.[201] He remembered them all. After settling the conflict, he left. While travelling to Southern Swamp Island, he saw Fated Kin's island with his statue. He was filled with nostalgia and a determination to make the Berserkers rise to power. He arrived at Southern Swamp Island, where he saw old acquaintances. After he gave Ya Jiu a protective item and asked about Fang Cang Lan, he left. As Fang Cang Lan sat lonely in the empty palace and played zither, Su Ming appeared near her, but no one could see him. He was suprised others calling her the Berserker Consort.[202] He used his Art of Time and watched what happened to her over these thousand of years. Then he showed himself to her and she fell into his arms. As she played a zither for him, Su Ming released his Berserker's presence all over the world. Fated Kin greeted him, emanating power of laws of fate. Then thousands of other Berserkers arrived to welcome him back. Su Ming declared to bring them to power and take all of them out of Yin Death Region to his True World.[203] Three ancient wills sent their Divine Clones, whle still waking up from their slumber. One of Divine Clones made sea creatures from Dead Sea attack, but Su Ming exterminated them all with the God of Berserkers' Palm. Furthermore, Su Ming scattered away all Dead Sea, revealing Great Yu Palace and Eastern Wastelands Tower. As other creatures from other worlds were incoming, Su Ming used the fog from scattered Dead Sea to form a seal above the Berserkers' world. Next, he chased away Divine Clones after using End of Wills Sword.[204] In ruins of Great Yu Palace, he saw freezed Elder of the Great Berserker Tribe sitting on a towering altar, the same he saw, when he was sent in the past by Tian Bai. He also noticed the dark turtle he befriended long time ago. In the topmost floor of Eastern Wastelands Tower, he found the Barren Cauldron, which he fuse with an Enchanted Soul of the ninth tribe leader of Great Berserker Tribe from Great Yu Palace. The cauldron used Su Ming's path of cultivation and ingrained it in other Berserkers' hearts. It unlocked all accumulated power in Berserkers causing them to made breaktrhoughs in their cultivation. Many Berserkers reached Second Step.[205]
At that time three ancient wills from Yin Death Vortex descended as old men in black, white, and gray robes. They tried to kill Su Ming, but he pushed them back with his powerful will. They introduced themselves as the Servants of Morus Alba and regretted that Su Xuan Yi and even Di Tian interfered with their testing of Su Ming before. They were suprised by his power. As they executed First Wave, Su Ming felt danger and used God of Berserkers Transformation. He made the illusory wings crumble. Three old men were shocked God of Berserkers Transformation. Before it ended, Su Ming used his powerful will and by clenching his fist, he destroyed white-robed man in body and soul, whom he recognized as the one, who sent him to the Barren Lands of Divine Essence. Next, he moved towards black-robed old man, who had Brands on his senior brothers. Gray-robed old man made black-robed one became Circumferential Seal and he himself became Circumferential Slaughter. As they used the might of the sky and earth, Su Ming casted Mountain Shifter Art to supress the square fog and Ocean Remover to froze the circle in the sky with the Light of Extreme Darkness. Then he used End of Wills Sword, which destroyed black-robed old man with no chances of him going through reincarnation. Gray-robed old man was wondering whether Morus Alba was using Su Ming to kill the three of them or that they weren't his opponent. But he knew that Su Ming still hasn't woken up and couldn't be considered as the Converted Child. When he turned into giant butterfly formed of gray smoke, Su Ming manifested the Barren Cauldron and it's Enchanted Soul torn the right wing of the gray butterfly into pieces. To finally kill it, Su Ming used the white ring. It also flew all the way to exit the Yin Death Vortex into True Morning Dao World creating a path, which Su Ming used to move the Berserkers’ world.[206]
When whole Berserkers' world was moving towards exit, ferocious creatures from other worlds charged out. Su Ming made Berserkers fight them themselves to prepare them for later, when those from Saint Defier and Dark Dawn would descend. He also sent Bright Yang Aura into Fang Cang Lan to make her better, because she didn't seem to be from Yin Death Region originally. Nearly two hundred thousand Berserkers died, but the rest were even stronger. As they got out of the Yin Death Vortex, Tian Bai and Su Ming felt his spirit ascension disaster. They both returned to Yin Death Vortex. While still having seven days, they searched for Di Tian. After Tian Bai found Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors, he advised Su Ming to not bother with them before the disaster, because they were not weak. Su Ming convinced him to sealed them, so that they would not interfere with incoming disaster. Su Ming and Tian Bai descended into depths of Yin Death Vortex, because the old man from Heavenly Spirit Tribe sensed there a secret.[207] Once the first disaster appeared, Su Ming wanted to face it himself. He managed to destroy the red lightning bolt with End of Wills Sword. Then Five Colored Lightning arrived. Using Dragon of Destruction and white ring in unison and God of Berserkers Transformation, he managed to destroy it. As Su Ming felt that he could go then easily through another spirit ascension, Six Flash Disaster arrived. As it was using the power of time, it took away a bit over 11 billion years of Su Ming's life. But it was nothing, because he had a vast amount of life from his True World Clone. It wiped out only one-tenth of the life force of a True World.[208] Tian Bai and Su Ming figured out, the Arid Disaster is sent by Arid Triad's will to wipe out Antecedental Spirits, because they could possess it. Then Nine Deaths Disaster descended upon Su Ming. While being affected by it, Su Ming realized the fourth disaster was a curse. As he used his own Arid Curse, he overcame Nine Deaths Disaster. Tian Bai stepped in and took the fifth disaster on himself, because Su Ming reached his limits. This allowed Su Ming to head to depths of Yin Death Vortex in search for the connection between himself and the broken will. When he reached the depths, he came out into another world like Expanse Cosmos. It was like the world in mirror. True World was filled with Yin Death Aura and the vortex contained Bright Yang Aura, which was in reverse to Arid Triad.[209]
When he stepped into it, the empty and quiet True Immortal Sect World started transforming into Arid Triad's True World with raging whirlwind and the gap between Expanse Cosmoses. He obtained that True World's will. He wondered about the other version of himself and wanted to look for him. Then he met Qian Chen. He recounted his tale to Su Ming and explained forces of power in the four Great True Worlds of Harmonious Morus Alba Expanse Cosmos.[210] Qian Chen led him to True Sky Hill World, where Bai Su once lived as a mortal. In the village on one planet, Su Ming fused the Celestial Maiden's soul into a woman from Bai Su's family. Su Ming figured out Qian Chen needed help. Because of being old friends, he decided to help him. They travelled to Western Deity Sect, Northern Waves Sect and Zhennan Xun Sect and Su Ming destroyed all of them. After enraged Li Tian Wang, he was supressed and destroyed easily too, which left Qian Chen shocked. Su Ming did that also to draw attention of his other self from that Expanse Cosmos. Su Ming told him to leave and Qian Chen left. He was waiting for his other self and whoever would come for revenge on Li Tian Wang.[211] Not long after, members of Jade Palace arrived with the Jade Emperor. Su Ming killed Feng Huo, the God of Two Tunnels and their two armies with his powerful will. True Sky Hill World's Child of Morus Alba showed up and asked to not kill them, but he was too late. He only managed to save shocked Jade Emperor. After hearing his voice, Su Ming recognized him as Lei Chen. He was hit by nostalgia. Lei Chen left, because other Child of Morus Alba was coming.[212]
When Child of Morus Alba Su Ming came to Su Ming from Arid Triad, he attacked. Ten Mournful-Deaths used Eighteen Spirit Hell, but Su Ming overcame it. After the Light of Extreme Darkness and manifesting first two disasters of the Antecedental Spirit’s disaster didn't work on the vortex of ten Mournful-Deaths, Su Ming used Art of Believing and exiled them to some other Expanse Cosmos. Sullen Child of Morus Alba used the power of Harmonious Morus Alba and they fought a battle of wills. When they were about to fuse, Child of Morus Alba told Su Ming to take Yu Xuan and fuse her with the one from Arid Triad.[213] After Su Ming woke up and broke free from the cocoon, Harmonious Morus Alba's will showed him the past, the nine butterflies, how both Expanse Cosmoses were created, and the truth about Arid Triad trying to possess Harmonious Morus Alba butterfly.[214] Moreover, Harmonious Morus Alba's will explained its situation, that it cannot control flapping wings and destruction. It wanted Su Ming's help. It wanted him to possess Arid Triad and tear down the left wing, so that it could go home, to its companions. Su Ming also learnt about Arid Triad owning two smaller wings. He concluded that the descent of Saint Defier and Dark Dawn was planned by Arid Triad's will, so that it could also create a gap between small left wing and big left wing, where Harmonious Morus Alba Expanse Cosmos was. It all hastened the overlapping of the four wings causing the disaster. 500 years was left from original 3720 years, which remainded Su Ming about prophecy of Heavenly Incense Rune's spirit. He immediately agreed to work together and asked for True World' will reflecting Emperor of Abyss' True World. After easy possessing of True Sky Hill World, Su Ming went to Harmonious Morus Alba Expanse Cosmos' All Spirits Hall.[215] In that All Spirits Hall, he went through three spirit ascensions and reached Avacaniya Realm.[216] After succedding in fourth and fifth spirit ascension, Su Ming left Harmonious Morus Alba Expanse Cosmos. On the way, he sensed demise of Tian Bai, but he also found a drop of his blood. He mused about fusing it with Tian Bai's other self in Harmonious Morus Alba Expanse Cosmos to ressurect him.[217]
Once Su Ming stepped into his True Morning Dao World, he knew everything what had happened. He watched others destroying the Rune of his sect. He wanted Ninth Summit Sect to go through a trial of life and death. He suppressed the cultivation levels of invaders though. Su Ming shocked Yan Pei's clone and made him to just sit next to him and watch the fighting.[218] Su Ming created the tenth summit. All the souls of Berserkers and the members of his sect, who died in battle in his True World would gather there according to this new law. Su Ming admired how his sect and senior brothers become stronger. After most of invaders were killed, Su Ming stopped the battle and let survivors leave. Then he reunited with his senior brothers. He spent time with them and Fang Cang Lan and Xu Hui. He told them about incoming disaster and his plans. They spent three months together. Then Su Ming went to All Spirits Hall, and succedded in another four spirit ascensions. He became the strongest person in his aeon.[219]
Afterwards, Su Ming set off to the Emperor of Abyss' True World. On the way he released the bald crane and Xiao Huang from the storage bag. The bald crane was resentful that Su Ming kept it in the storage bag for so long. When he pull out one crystal, the bald crane didn't yield, fighting its instincts. As Su Ming manifested countless crystals with his new powers, the bald crane was astounded and called him a walking crystal mine.[220] When Su Ming entered the Emperor of Abyss' True World, it's will was being possessed, like it happened with True Immortal Sect World. At the capital planet, Su Ming approached the ancient tree from previous aeons first. To it, Su Ming felt similar to Arid Triad cultivator. Then Su Ming appeared at the place of wedding. He recognized the third prince as Lei Chen.[221] Su Xuan Yi's killing intent rose, when he noticed Su Ming. He still treated him as lowly slave. This was because he was unaware of Su Ming was in Harmonious Morus Alba Expanse Cosmos. When Yan Pei was about to keep his promise of killing Sang, Su Ming bowed to his elder greeting him. Stunned Sovereign of Dawn thought Su Xuan Yi set him up. He quickly helped Mo Sang with his seals and turned against Su Xuan Yi. Then Yan Pei also destroyed seals on Yu Xuan, while criticising Su Xuan Yi audibly. Yu Xuan regained a clear mind and her memories for the first time after being sealed for a long period of time.[222]
The Sublime Paragon of that True World challenged Su Ming honourably, and he was injured badly enough so that he could avoid having to fight any longer. Su Ming brought the fifth kiln and gave it to Su Xuan Yi, who felt anguish and had complicated emotions about his wife. Su Ming attacked Su Xuan Yi to end the enmity between them, but an eight-headed figure in Avacaniya Realm was summoned. It was destroyed easily and Su Xuan Yi was shocked for the first time after being injured. His soul injured and a chance for reincarnation destroyed. It was punishment for calling himself Su Ming's father. Elder Mo Sang stared at Su Ming with pride. Su Xuan Yi summoned a will of an old monster who had surpassed Avacaniya Realm from previous aeon, but it was destroyed by Su Ming's will. As Su Xuan Yi's cultivation was damaged as punishment for using Yu Xuan, he called for Yr Morkh. The furious warrior of the previous aeon shocked almost everyone. He was mad that he was woken up before his time. Su Ming clashed with Yr Morkh.[223] Despite being beaten back, Yr Morkh was unbothered. He summoned Five-Faced Beast Deity. As the beast rushed at Su Ming, he used the End of Wills Sword to cut off all five heads and sealed it. When Su Ming couldn't kill Yr Morkh, he chose to seal him.[224] When Su Ming was about to kill Su Xuan Yi, Lei Chen moved to save his father. Su Ming spared him, but he destroyed his all seven clones. Next, he took away one half of the Seed of Life Extermination from Yu Xuan and gave it to Lei Chen. Despite everything Su Xuan Yi was calm, like it was according to his plans. When Su Ming was about to leave with Yu Xuan and his elder, he noticed a person, who became Arid Triad. They discussed their paths. Arid Triad veiled threats with a choice to work with him and he guaranteed that True Morning Dao World would not perish during Aeonic Disaster. He gave Su Ming a hundred years to think about it. Afterwards, Su Ming finally left with Yu Xuan, elder Mo Sang, the bald crane and elated Xiao Huang. Next three years Su Ming spent in Ninth Summit Sect with his senior brothers, Yu Xuan, Fang Cang Lan, and Xu Hui. He also often spent time with his elder at Dark Mountain. After nine years, the seals on the Antecedental Spirits were released and they waged war on those from Dark Dawn or Saint Defier. It made the four True Worlds fall into chaos. When members of Ninth Summit Sect were endangered by roaming Antecedental Spirits, Su Ming's will swept through saving them and punishing or killing attackers.[225]
After ten years of staying in Ninth Summit Sect, Su Ming went to Dark Dawn with the bald crane to look for his mother's race and for his Master, Tian Xie Zi. At Arid Triad's gap Yan Pei was waiting for them. After throwing many compliments, the bald crane thought he was shameless and tried to snatch his position, but was still amazed. Then it duelled with Yan Pei with words. Afterwards, Yan Pei used secret relocation and they arrived at one of three altars in his Bear Chart Expanse Cosmos. They were greeted by the tribe leader of Bear Chart Tribe. Su Ming asked Yan Pei to find out information about relocation tunnel to the fifth ocean and people garrisoning it. Once he felt aura from another altar, he deduced it was from the universe beyond Harmonious Morus Alba. He mused that some people, who survived Aeonic Disaster, might have just left Harmonious Morus Alba's body. When he used Art of Time on that aura, he saw black-robed young man on the Feng Shui compass absorbing a butterfly, which was the sixth Reversed Spirit. Su Ming was seen through time and chased away by that man more powerful than Arid Triad. He felt fear for the first time since many years. With determination he went back in time once more to face that man, but his will was destroyed. Yan Pei sensed thick aura of death from Su Ming's body, but as Su Ming regained consciousness and said a word Spirit, he was like reborn.[226]
Then he went to the Spiritling Expanse Cosmos. There he visited Bright Violet Planet, where their ancestors were buried. After he used Art of Time to look into the past, he punished current Sacred Lady for not telling him the truth how the previous Tribe Elder made the soul of Su Ming's mother to dissipate. Next, he made the slumbering Tribe Elder wake up and attacked him. He also filled that Expanse Cosmos with his will taking control over it.[227] Then he used souls of the Tribe Elder and other ancestors to write his mother's name on her tombstone again. Few days later, Sovereign of Dawn Cang San Nu appeared before him. Su Ming was curious how Cang San Nu killed those from previous aeon, since he could only seal Yr Morkh. Confident Cang San Nu used a fragment of Harmonious Morus Alba's wing to shatter End of Wills Sword. Then with his great will taking the image of a butterfly, Su Ming subjugated the item with delight, which made Cang San Nu to run away. He wondered from which wing it was.[228] As he was crossing Expanse Cosmoses people from Life Extermination Hall followed him and he spread evil rumours about him to powerful inhabitants of these Expanse Cosmoses. After learning from soul seek how Cang San Nu got wing fragment, Su Ming arrived at Expanse Cosmos of Viridian Gods. There he learnt how Old Man Extermination appeared in Harmonious Morus Alba and about a gap in the smaller left wing leading out into the Vast Expanse.[229]
Next, in the Heavenly Fox Expanse Cosmos, he was greeted by many females on Sovereign Zi Ruo invitation. He was carried by them forming the erotic sedan chair. The bald crane was not impressed. It only wondered when it would meet a beautiful female crane, who could fly with it. Su Ming was even massaged, but he didn't get distracted with his strong willpower. Once he met Zi Ruo, she explained about people using the power of the tunnel to come from fifth ocean to Dark Dawn's camp and how they ended up in the Old Man Extermination's tomb.[230] In the Old Man Extermination's tomb, Su Ming and Zi Ruo forcefully moved through two layers into the last one. After they used a Relocation Rune, they ended up in the Yin Death Tunnel. Su Ming was afraid to find there his Master or First God of Berserkers. He figured out Arid Triad's will tried to use Zi Ruo's scheme and three Lords Saint Defier to devour him. He battled Arid Triad's will. With Art of Time, he sent white ring infected with Arid Curse back in time to curse Fei Hua and others. Arid Triad's will admitted defeat, after it miscalculated Su Ming's strength.[231]
After going through another change of heart, Su Ming went forward through the flesh tunnel and arrived at the universe on the left smaller wing.[232] There he met You Ming, whom Su Ming figured out to be the Apostle of Happiness and the Abyss Builders' Progenitor. You Ming tried to make him obey to worship Old Man Extermination, but Su Ming disagreed with that being his destiny. They fought with the Art of Time. Su Ming won psychologically. You Ming turned to ashes due his own Art of Time.[233]
As Su Ming moved through Heaven Lacking Expanse Cosmos, he met Ban Bu Zi. When they tried to test him, Su Ming showed his terrifying side by beheading Ku Mu and drinking his blood from the cup twice.[234] Su Ming asked others about the gap to the Vast Expanse. They also told him about the Mothership's Sacred Wood and Life Extermination Hall. Su Ming told them about the end of Harmonious Morus Alba. He agreed to sent their Daos to the new world.[235]
Afterwards, Su Ming went to the gap. He wanted to meet Old Man Extermination, but the latter didn't want to show himself. Su Ming left a palm print with murderous aura on the wooden plate at the bow of the ship. Then he went out of Harmonious Morus Alba into the Vast Expanse. Despite witnessing how dangerous this universe was, Su Ming remained determined to find a way to save his friends before the incoming disaster. He gained epiphany about cultivation being the pursuit of the truth. As he got Boundless Dao's presence, Harmonious Morus Alba's will, Arid Triad's will Old Man Extermination were shocked. After 120 years in trance, he formed a Dao Divinity. He was also omnipresent. He briefly clashed with Old Man Extermination, but they couldn't hurt each other. They were about to meet again in 300 years.[236]
Before leaving Heaven Lacking Expanse Cosmos, Su Ming arrived at the Sacred Wood. He shrunk it to the size of a palm and took it with him. Then he went to Ban Bu Zi and others for legacies they wanted to sent. When he sensed three Apostles entering True Morning Dao World on Old Man Extermination's orders, he distorted the galaxy around them to imprison them. Afterwards, Su Ming moved to Heavenly Fox Expanse Cosmos with one step. He learnt about the Apostles killing cultivators to gather resentment. Then he went to Falling Dust Cosmos, where the bald crane was. The crane was very sad and even shedding tears. Su Ming restored Fei Hua's cultivation base. Eventually, they returned to Arid Triad Expanse Cosmos.
In True Morning Dao World, Su Ming met three Apostles separately. Lie Shan Xiu tried to convince him to follow Old Man Extermination and his Dao.[237] Su Ming let him go, since he insisted in believing so much. They would find out who was wrong in over 300 years. He finally understood that on Black Ink Planet, Lie Shan Xiu had been hesitant about Old Man Extermination's Dao. Before leaving, Lie Shan Xiu said he was glad that Su Ming was the God of Berserkers. Tian Xie Zi was very happy seeing Su Ming. He explained his beliefs and said that Su Ming should follow his path no matter what. Tian Xie Zi was going back to Old Man Extermination to confront him. If he was to fail, he wanted Su Ming to take revenge for him. He also added advices for other disciples to drop useless ambitions, stop whining and cultivate properly. Su Ming was only smilling all the time. After his Master asked him to kill Lu Ya, Su Ming instantly moved to do that. Lu Ya tried to kill members of Ninth Summit, but Su Ming wiped him out of existance. Afterwards, Su Ming finally returned to Ninth Summit. During winter, he liked to think about past in Dark Mountain Tribe.[238]
As years were flying by, Su Ming was coming to the choice. He didn't feel confident to surivive in the Vast Expanse and fight against Xuan Zang. He decided to chose for everyone and sent them to the world, he believed existed.[239] In 120 years, he moved there everyone except the bald crane, which refused to go.[240]
When it was 100 years before disaster of Harmonious Morus Alba, many cultivators from previous aeons woke up. Su Ming went to the Barren Lands of Divine Essence. There he finally released everyone from the foreign land. Then he visited Black Ink Planet and Husband Gazing Mountain. He found dead Dijiu Mo Sha being used as a host for someone from previous aeons. He killed that person and built a grave for his junior brother.[241] After he found the Fifth True World, which was a wrecked galaxy, he returned to Ninth Summit to make preparations for battle of possession with Arid Triad. All the time, he was also keeping True Morning Dao World peaceful.[242] After Su Ming killed 100 cultivators from previous aeons in each of other three True Worlds using Sacred Wood, he became to be known as Wood Paragon.[243] While waiting, he had completed his final spirit ascension in All Spirits Hall and became an Ancestral Spirit.
Before there were 5 years left, Arid Triad's will finally showed up to fight Su Ming. Harmonious Morus Alba's will joined them.[244] As they were fighting, Xuan Zang showed up at the butterfly and started to absorb it. When Harmonious Morus Alba tried to use Su Ming's friends, he turned against it. His hair turned purple from the fusion of blood and darkness.[245] Next, Su Ming was sealed by the resentment gathered by Old Man Extermination, who wanted make him an offering to Xuan Zang, but he escaped that by fooling Extermination with his severed left arm. When his friends were being forced back through the vortex, he severed the connection with sadness. Immediately after, Xuan Zang appeared and destroyed the vortex, turning Su Ming's friends into nothingness. Su Ming, missing his legs, swore revenge on everyone involved and wanted to posses Xuan Zang to open the Abyss Gate and resurrect his friends. Following what he saw in the secret of the universe, he went to Dark Dawn and Saint Defier and killing almost everyone in bloody storm. Only the Expanse Cosmoses of the Heavenly Foxes, the Bear Charters and Fei Hua's were spared.[246] In Heaven Lacking Expanse Cosmos, he saw Lie Shan Xiu choosing death in catastrophe for making wrong bet. Then in Old Man Extermination he sensed presence of Lei Chen. When Xuan Zang attacked again, Di Tian saved Su Ming each time. In meantime, Su Ming deduced Xuan Zang was blind and close to death and was attacking only because of Old Man Extermination's Locating Rune. As they both used Dao Divinity to supress the Locating Rune, Xuan Zang couldn't attack them. Then Lei Chen disrupted Extermination's Dao Divinity and Xuan Zang touched him destroying his body and absorbing the soul.[247]
Being out in the Vast Expanse, Su Ming and the bald crane saw everything in withered Harmonious Morus Alba being destroyed. Melancholic Su Ming still had remains of Tian Bai and Yu Xuan's sleeping body from Harmonious Morus Alba Expanse Cosmos in his storage bag. As Xuan Zang moved towards them, Su Ming noticed the shadow of a crane on one of the pearls and he run away with the bald crane. Using Dao Divinity and the God of Berserkers Transformation, he attacked, but half of his body shattered. While Su Ming didn't want to give up the bald crane, the crane made its own choice. Despite a reluctance to part away, it fused with its physical body. Black feathers grew all over its body, which also erupted with a seven-colored light. The crane charged at Xuan Zang's hand, but in the last moment Su Ming threw it into the vortex to the other world. Only one black feather was left for Su Ming. Then, as his body shattered, he proceeded to execute Abyss Builders Possession on Xuan Zang. After the bald crane disappeared, Xuan Zang shut his eyes as if falling into a deep sleep and allowed his Feng Shui compass to drift about in the Vast Expanse. He only held a black feather.[248]
Book 7[]
Su Ming woke up in different world. He figured out this was his battle of possession. He was the Third Prince of Ancient Zang. He was led by his Master, who looked like Tian Xie Zi, before the competition for the crown with his 2 senior brothers. Su Ming was learning about Dao. After 10 cycles of 60 years, his Master sent him to experience the world on his own. Su Ming changed his appearance to his own. He could sense his Harmonious Morus Alba's soul, but it was sealed in a pearl, which seemed to be in possession of a cultivator in third level of Dao Divinity Realm from Seven Moons Sect.[249]
After many years of wandering, he arrived at that sect. He possessed dead body of Wang Tao during recruitment competition. There he put on a spectatle for watching sect elders. He killed many with newly learnt Blood of Seven Moons Art. There in ruins, he found a broken stone monument with words Star Ocean.[250] Su Ming's performance drew attention of sect elders. Before the end of promotion trail, he met Ye Long, who seemed to be like Ye Wang. Soon after, he met De Shun, which made him wonder what this world was.[251] Sect Elder Lan Lan took him to her Master Xu Zhong Fan, who took him as his successor disciple. Then she led him to his new residence. For next 8 years, Su Ming was cultivating Seven Lives Art in solitude, whereas Ye Long challenged Dao Divinity Shadow Descension Rune and became famous. Finally he created first shadow figure. He was suprised, when he met Bei Qiong, who was like himself from Wind Stream Tribe. He told Su Ming he was the Third Prince of Ancient Zang, who lost his way during his travels, because of the eldest prince and second prince's scheme, and became immersed in the era of the ancient Harmonious Morus Alba, along with all his friends and all the people who had formed ties with him through preordained fate. And that he still didn't wake up. Su Ming noticed a flaw in the story, because Bei Qiong only knew him as Mo Su in Wind Stream Tribe, not as Su Ming. He assumed this was a battle of Arts between him and Xuan Zang.[252]
From enlightenment and Seven Lives Art, Su Ming reached the second level of Dao Divinity Realm. After Ye Long passed seventh formation of Dao Divinity Shadow Descension Rune, Su Ming agreed to his challenge. During night time, he easily passed 9 formations shocking everyone in the sect. When challenging 10th formation, Su Ming understood it was helping with Seven Lives Art. As he faced Guru Xing Chen's shadow, he used Art of Time on him to learn about his Space Whip and he saw a scene of Xuan Zang leaving his homeland.[253] At 13th formation, he defeated a Dao Shadow of arrogant Sect Elder Mu Zhen. At 14th formation, Su Ming created another 2 shadow figures. While pondering about Seven Lives Art, he made black snow fall in Seven Moons Sect. Using next formations, Su Ming modified Seven Lives Art into Seven Abyss Art. He also finally gained epiphany about spring that the true meaning of it is a cruelty that one can only bloom, resurrect after death. He created the four Shadows of Nature, but refused to pass 19th formation.[254]
For next 40 years, he was meditating to form a Dao Shadow. Meantime, cracks started to appear in the sect. One Dao Sect sent threats to hand over all the disciples they took in the last 2 cycles of 60 years. Decision of all 13 Great Sect Elders was to fight, because Su Ming was the most valuable person to them.[255] After the invasion, the bet was set between Great Dao Paragon Sen Mu and Sect Master Gu Tai. While Su Ming fought Tian He, he reached Quasi Dao Spirit Realm. Once Tian He was killed with Shadow of winter, Gu Tai froze all attackers and Sen Mu just left. Using soulseek on captured cultivator and Art of Time, Su Ming saw the Eldest Prince, who looked like young Old Man Extermination.[256]
Later, Sect Master Gu Tai assured Su Ming that Seven Moons Sect would help him with everything and informed about incoming war with other princes and their supportive sects and clans to determine the successor of Ancient Zang. Su Ming asked for Dao Han's Reversed Spirit Pearl. Once he received it, he got his wills of 4 True Worlds back. Gu Tai was pleasantly suprised by this.[257] Because of his average potential, he sounded four voices with his cultivation base. But then with his wills he sounded more times. After sixth, 3 sects and 6 clans heard it. The eighth Dao Spirit Voice covered all world of Ancient Zang. Being half dead, Su Ming didn't give up and with powerful determination he sounded his ninth Dao Spirit Voice. It was a soft sigh, but it was the voice of his Life Matrix. After finally reaching 3rd level of Dao Divinity, a silver Dao Spirit was formed inside him.[258]
Next, Gu Tai took Su Ming to see Dao God Gu Hong. Su Ming spent half a year with old man in the village cutting wood. Gu Hong was infuriated with the way Su Ming cut wood. One night, when 2 Dao Paragons came for Su Ming's life, Gu Hong showed him how to cut Life Matrices. The attackers were turned into white dogs.[259] Another day, Ji Wu Meng found Su Ming. She fell victim to eccentric Gu Hong, who wanted to absorb her cultivation base and gift it to Su Ming. Su Ming had obtained the old man's acknowledgement and had a chance to really become his disciple, but he refused, because he was not Third Prince and this world was not real in his opinion. He did not want to form connections in this world. After Gu Hong asked him for explanation, Su Ming told him he was from Harmonious Morus Alba and how he ended up possessing Xuan Zang. Old man told him that was tallied to his Dao, because he too was wondering whether this world was real or fake. He offered Su Ming to be his disciple and that he would help him in possession, if this world was truly fake.[260] After Su Ming agreed, Gu Hong was very happy. He taught Su Ming his ability absorb cultivation bases of others. During next year, 3 new dogs appeared, which became Su Ming's Spirit Beasts. Then one day, Tian Xiu Luo visited them. He wanted Su Ming to remove himself from the competition for the crown. They discussed their Daos. Tian Xiu Luo believed his Dao was the Great Dao. He announced entering a thousand-year period of isolated training and after he egressed, he would take over Ancient Zang. Su Ming wondered about his own Dao. He agreed with Daos of all 3 Dao Gods.[261]
As Su Ming got news from Gu Tai about finding Space Whip, he left. After taking 5 white dogs and an axe with him, Su Ming relocated, where Xu Zhong Fan and others found a cave. There, Su Ming found Xuan Zang's Abode. Inside, he found the Space Whip and the Feng Shui compass. After seeing himself in the ancient mirror as Xuan Zang, he got both treasures, which made nearby mountains collapse. He told Xu Zhong Fan and others to leave. He himself stayed in Xuan Zang's Abode. After refining nine-tenths of Feng Shui compass for 120 years, he finally saw himself in the ancient mirror. Another 120 years later, Su Ming also refined nine-tenths of Space Whip.[262]
After leaving, Su Ming met someone lookng like Xu Hui. He didn't want to form any sort of connection with people looking like his friends, because it could push him into losing himself one day, so he was trying to avoid them, but he helped this person.[263] Back in the sect, when Su Ming was reading the story of Tree of Dao Verification, he was shocked by the information of 9 butterflies. He also wondered if injured the Emperor of Ancient Zang from the past was Xuan Zang. Then with many elite members of the sect, he went to the royal capital for the battle of Dao Verification.[264]
In the first layer of the shattered dimension, Su Ming competed with other sects and clans to leave Seven Moons Sect's Brand on the altars to advance further.[265] Meeting Great Dao Paragon Lin Dong Dong reminded Su Ming about his helplessness in Harmonious Morus Alba. Immortal Qing Han appeared to stop the other Great Dao Paragon as repaying a debt. Su Ming sweared to himself to destroy One Dao Sect.[266] In the second layer, Su Ming killed many members of One Dao Sect. He reached the fourth level of Dao Spirit Realm.[267] Despite senior Princes attacking him, Su Ming reached the spirit in the Tree of Dao Verification. After promise of helping it return home, the spirit injured others and severed the connection with Ancient Zang.[268] Su Ming acquired the Phala. Eating it allowed him reach Dao Immortal Realm and became a Dao Paragon. Then helped the Spirit of the Tree break free from that dimension besting small part of Emperor of Ancient Zang's will left behind.[269]
In spirit's home world, Su Ming and the spirit named Hao Hao walked through continents for 400 years until they encountered Di Tian, who lost himself in that world, because he did not manage to find his path. Later, they met Lei Chen, who became tired and choose to not continue.[270] And on the next continent, they found Lin Dong Dong, who fell into madness. After 900 years of travelling, Su Ming met Old Man Extermination, who had gotten lost on the path he had walked all his life. They decided to battle third time with their Daos and chosen paths who will reach Boundless Dao Realm first.[271] Finally, Su Ming led Hao Hao to his home, where spirit boy transformed into the Tree of Dao Verification and changed his home world. Su Ming gained an epiphany watching that and reached Great Dao Paragon level.[272]
After absence of 2700 years, Su Ming returned to the Seven Moons Sect. He found it in decline due to One Dao Sect's attack after the events in dimension with the Tree of Dao Verification. Su Ming visited One Dao Sect for revenge. He killed their 2 Great Dao Paragons breaking the rule of the Emperor of Ancient Zang.[273]
Afterwards, Su Ming went to the capitol. where his teacher Gu Hong waited with 2 other ninth level Dao Gods, Emperor of Ancient Zang and Tian Xiu Luo. They chose not to fight, so to not destroy Ancient Zang, nor to debate about their Daos, because they were confident in them, but to cross Ancient Zang Skies to determined if they truly reached Boundless Dao Realm.[274] Tian Xiu Luo failed to reach the 30th Sky. Emperor Gu Di also failed. When it was Gu Hong's turn, he managed to cross 30th Sky in first try meaning he had reached Boundless Dao Realm. He even reached 31st Sky and found out the truth that Ancient Zang was just an illusory world that appeared because of Su Ming's battle of Possession with Xuan Zang. Then he wanted to help his disciple return to his home. Gu Hong had reversed his own Dao and made all of his power of Boundless Dao Realm scatter to help his disciple become ninth level Dao God.[275]
Su Ming made an attempt and after founding resolve and understanding of his Dao, he stepped into the 30th Sky. Then he crossed easily to 32nd Sky. There he saw that Xuan Zang had face like his own. After he stepped into the 33rd Sky, he took a last look at everyone down in Ancient Zang, before entering the center of Xuan Zang’s brow.[276] In that moment he succedded in posession of Xuan Zang after 3000 years.
When he woke up in body of Xuan Zang, Su Ming released six Harmonious Morus Albas into the vast universe so that life would be born inside them. In the next 230,000 years, Su Ming encountered 2 Harmonious Morus Albas that Xuan Zang haven't found before. He searched the Expanse Cosmoses inside them for traces of his friends' souls. Then he spent 10 aeons waiting and searching for marks of souls in that 6 butterflies he revived.[277]
As Su Ming continued his search for solution for 5 million years, he became depressed from the lack of results, until he found a fragment with mark of Ma Fei from Morning Dao Sect and that rejuvenated his resolve. After 250 million years, he finally found Yu Xuan and then the rest of people from his destroyed Harmonious Morus Alba.[278] Afterwards, he met Old Man Extermination, who admitted defeat. Su Ming only asked him to look for bald crane. Then, Su Ming lost his body and sank into the vortex of the cycles of life and death. Tian Xie Zi appeared and walked into the vortex to accompany him. Everyone else lived in the world created in Su Ming's body, withouth him, because in 33rd Sky he chose to sever his future and keep the beautiful moments of the past with him.[279]

"And in Pursuit of the Truth, I wrote another story. It was a story of a person who lived but died in the hearts of the others yet survived in their memories.
What is the devil? If there are some among you who still care about Su Ming becoming the devil, succeeding in becoming the devil, becoming the Devil Paragon, or some of the other words associated with this, and if you still care about not seeing the conflicts of a devil even after you have read the entirety of Pursuit of the Truth, then I have failed.
Because what I wanted to show since the beginning was not a devil, but a person… chasing after an extreme Dao!
I could only use one word to describe this Dao, and that was the devil. "He kowtowed before the devil during those three thousand years." These words were of the moment Su Ming had the choice to sever his future or his past while he was outside Ancient Zang."
